May perform welding tasks. · Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes · Documents work performed in service reports, applicable management systems, and written explanation regarding observation and collected equipment performance data. · Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams. Performs expert functions as a part of training and development. · Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problems. · Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations. · Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development. · Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies: Essential KSAs: · High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). · Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 12 years of experience in specific industry. · Possesses comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs. · Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate. · Extensive travel required. (Local, National). MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located at the Baltimore, Maryland branch for MGX Equipment Services and report to the Service Manager. * Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Operates and inspects cranes to diagnose defects. Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, & MEGA-TRACK system. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. Reads, understands, and interprets operating/parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications. Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness. Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision. Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections. Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports. Provides excellent customer service. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician. Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred. Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required. Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus. Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Basic computer skills preferred. HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Perform job functions in a safe manner. Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company policy for the job being performed. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Breaker Shop Technician based in Burlington, NC, with some flexibility for remote work. Responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance and repair of electrical breakers and heavy equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, and operating tools and machinery safely. The role also involves collaborating with team members and supporting warehouse operations when needed. Qualifications Knowledge and experience in Maintenance & Repair of electrical breakers, heavy equipment, and mechanical systems Proficiency in Troubleshooting and problem-solving technical equipment issues Skill in Forklift Operation and handling other heavy machinery safely Strong Communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on work progress Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, attention to detail, and efficiency Previous experience working with breakers and/or industrial equipment is preferred but not required High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications
