Mr. Schmitt serves as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Grote Family of Companies. He joined the organization in 2012 and has experience in several industries including over 20 years in construction, manufacturing, and not-for-profit. Schmitt is responsible for leadership and oversight of the accounting operations, accounting policy and financial reporting functions across the broad framework of the enterprise and its companies. He oversees the shared services function and financial planning and analysis while also leading the enterprise's risk management, banking and surety activities. Prior to joining Grote, he was Senior Audit Manager and Team Leader in a key leadership role at Barnes Dennig & Co, one of the Greater Cincinnati Region's largest public accounting firms. Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and received his BBA in Accounting from The University of Cincinnati.
