Dr. Dale is a seasoned fundraising professional with a record of building conventional development programs into top-performing operations and has demonstrated considerable skill at managing large, fast-paced philanthropic enterprises. Over her career, she has raised more than $1 billion in support of education, research, and clinical care.

Since her arrival at Jefferson in 2014, annual funds raised have increased steadily from $35 million to $102 million in FY19. Under her leadership, engagement opportunities for alumni and donors have likewise multiplied; in FY19 Jefferson hosted 220 events across Pennsylvania and in 13 other states. Dr. Dale is also responsible for directing the planning for Reimagine: The Campaign for Jefferson, the enterprise’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign.

Before coming to Jefferson, she led development as Senior Vice President at Drexel University. She conceived and launched the $400 million Dream It. Do It. Drexel. A Campaign for the Future, completing it 13 months ahead of schedule and 14% over the goal. Prior to Drexel, Dr. Dale was the Vice Chancellor for Advancement and founding Executive Director of the University of Massachusetts’ Amherst Foundation.

Dr. Dale holds a doctoral degree in Educational Policy, Research and Administration from UMass Amherst and was awarded an American Council on Education Fellowship. She serves on the

board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia and the Philadelphia

Police Foundation, and has been a volunteer consultant to small non-profit organizations in

Philadelphia.
