Key Responsibilities: * *Performs basic and advanced respiratory care procedures - 90% * Performs all modalities in a timely fashion and according to policy and procedure. * Cleans, processes, and troubleshoots equipment. * Performs patient assessments & recommends changes to therapy from evidence based findings. * Responds courteously & quickly to calls for service from internal & external customers. * Responds quickly & in accordance with policy & procedure for all "Code" calls within the healthcare system. * Communicates care needs clearly &effectively to coworkers and other members of the healthcare team. * Accurately records all productivity * Documents all patient interventions in Epic or using downtime process * Documents appropriately in supporting records such as the EMAR. * Performs complete & correct billing entry to ensure accurate representation of services performed for billing purposed. * *Performs additional duties within scope of responsibility as required. - 5% * *Maintains health/education records and skills as required by licensure and healthcare system requirements. - 5% Qualifications: * * Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) * Licensed or has valid Permit as a Respiratory Therapist by New York State Education Department Office of the Professions (NYSED OP) website * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification * Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required within three (3) months of start date * Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required within one (1) year of start date * Graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy program - Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) required * Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
