Before joining QNX, Mr. Lawande was responsible for development of networking and consumer electronics systems at corporate giants such as AT&T Bell Labs, U.S. Robotics, and 3Com. He was a key contributor to an array of leading-edge products, including the Total Control remote access server, U.S. Robotics Sportster modems, and 3Com's Ergo product line. Mr. Lawande has a wealth of experience in developing embedded systems and software. He holds three patents in Communications Software and is a founding Member of COMPASS, a Chicago-area organization of embedded software and IT professionals.
