Prior to 2000, Mussallem held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility in engineering, product development and senior management at Baxter International Inc., including Group Vice President of its CardioVascular business from 1994 to 2000 and Group Vice President of the Biopharmaceutical business from 1998 to 2000. From 1996 until 1998, he was the Chairman of Baxter's Asia Board overseeing Baxter's operations throughout Asia. Mr. Mussallem is chairman of the board of directors of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), and serves as a member of the board for Advanced Medical Optics. He is also on the boards and executive committees of the California Healthcare Institute and OCTANe, and is a trustee of the University of California, Irvine Foundation. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 1974 and an honorary doctorate in 1999 from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana.

Gary Guthart joined Intuitive Surgical in April 1996. Effective January 2010, Guthart was appointed as Chief Executive Officer. In July 2007, he was promoted to President. Prior to that, in February 2006, Guthart assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Intuitive, Guthart was part of the core team developing foundation technology for computer enhanced-surgery at SRI International (formerly Stanford Research Institute). Guthart is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Affymetrix, Inc. He received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from the California Institute of Technology.

Chris Barry serves as the chief executive officer and a member of the NuVasive Board of Directors. Prior to this role, Mr. Barry served as senior vice president and president of surgical innovations, the second largest business unit at Medtronic with $5.5 billion in annual revenue, from 2015 to 2018. In this role, Chris provided strategic direction to more than 14,000 employees working in 78 countries, including 10 manufacturing sites and multiple R&D centers. Prior to the acquisition of Covidien by Medtronic, Mr. Barry was president, Advanced Surgical Technologies of Covidien, where he led global strategy, product portfolio and U.S. commercial teams for the $3.2 billion global business unit. Mr. Barry spent more than 15 years in increasing commercial and executive leadership roles at Covidien. Mr. Barry received a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Texas Tech University.
