This position works among a team of individuals manufacturing products for our customers under the guidance of experienced team members. The role entails such functions as kitting, loading/unloading machines, and manual machining. On the job training will be provided, no experience is necessary. Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to: * Assist workers engaged in fabricating and processing materials and parts. * Sort and count parts and materials. * Examine parts and materials for defects. * Feed, load, or remove parts from machines. * Handle and Clean Specialty Fiber Optics, Precision Optics, and mechanical components. * Must be able to understand written work instructions for a wide range of products to properly manufacture the final product to the highest of quality standards and with a goal of zero scrap or rework. * Maintain proper records in our Manufacturing Database. * Ask questions when instructions are not understood or clear. * Comply with the company safety program and maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to: Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to printed work instructions while using handheld scanners and/or the automated storage and retrieval system. Verify outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, counting and weighing items, and checking against sales orders, invoices, or other records using the D365 Warehouse Management System. Perform required WMS (D365) transactions in real time to ensure inventory accuracy and proper order tracking. Apply the correct carrier labels, postage, and required shipping charges to all outgoing packages.
