In 1967, Macy Dabek had a vision.
In June 1982, because of failing health, Macy Dabek stepped down as President of Thoro.
And believe it or not, they’ve been around for more than 2000 years, found first in the writings of ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle.
In 2003, an additional 38,000 square foot building was acquired for a finished goods warehouse and future expansion.
In 2007, Macy Steiner, the grandson of Macy Dabek, took the role of General Manager after working at several positions within Thoro and spending time in Germany learning best manufacturing practices.
