Qualifications
Education
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
* Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery
* Completion of fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. Additional fellowship training in spine, sports medicine or upper extremity preferred, but not required.
Experience
* Minimum of 8-10 years of clinical practice in orthopedic surgery or spine surgery, preferably with experience in a pediatric setting.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical operations, administration, or physician leadership roles.
* Experience in academic medicine, research administration, and/or graduate medical education preferred.
Certification and Licensures
* Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS), with subspecialty training in Pediatric Orthopedics.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties and Responsibilities:
Observe, administer, record medications, treatments, and patient's vital signs, symptoms, and general condition
Reinforce support and provide health care instructions to patients and their families
Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities
Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
Assist with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Qualifications and Skills:
Current and valid LPN license
Excellent interpersonal skills
Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations
Physical strength and stamina
First aid and CPR certifications

Job Overview
The Certified Medical Assistant functions in a role accountable for providing comprehensive, family-centered care to patients and families in the pediatric orthopedic Outpatient Department. Shriners Spokane is looking for a PRN Certified Medical Assistant to join the team.
Schedule: PRN
The pay range for this position is $16.92-$25.38/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
* Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes.
* Demonstrates skills necessary to assist with casting, splinting, and dressing application, removal and cleaning.
* Safely removes casts, cleans patient, covers affected limb and instructs family on skin care.
* Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
* Responsible for prepping clinic to be prepared for that day's clinic to include monitoring supplies and equipment and ordering supplies
* Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed
