    The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer. This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direct oversight of Facilities, Information Technology, Quality, Payer Relationships, Business Development, Contracting, Workforce Development, Governmental Grants, Housing, and Real Estate Asset Management. The COO will work with the senior leadership team and Board of Directors to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies; and will drive and lead an environment of operational excellence and performance improvement to ensure the organization's systems and procedures are functioning optimally. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversees the operations of select administrative departments and program review. * Formulates long-range objectives, plans, and programs for departments to ensure consistency across the organization. * Provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative procedures and systems in place to effectively grow and ensure financial strength and operational efficiency. * Works closely with Clinical Operations, Finance and other departments to establish new strategic partnerships that drive service innovation and organizational growth. * Leads data review and reporting to provide insightful analysis that allow for business development. Identifies key performance indicators and delivers process improvements. * Maintains proactive communication with executive management with regard to financial management and industry issues that require contingency planning. * Provides program leadership and input for all strategic plan implementation processes with staff. * Evaluates the organization's administrative support structure and plans for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group. Coaches department level leadership as they implement the strategic plan and ensure efficient operations. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. * Master's Degree in Business Administration or Nonprofit Administration (MBA or MNA) preferred. EXPERIENCE * A minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience with broad management, fiscal and operational responsibility, including significant not-for-profit experience. * Demonstrated experience with program development and program evaluation, including creation of new programs, setting measurable goals and objectives, data collection and analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and adjustment of goals in response to benchmarks. * Previous leadership and oversight of strategic planning process, quality improvement programs and process improvement/lean thinking. * Previous management and leadership experience of a broad spectrum of professional administrative staff in the areas of IT, Facilities and Real Estate Asset Management preferred. An Illinois State Board of Education certified therapeutic day school, Thresholds High School serves students ages 16 to 21 years old with ongoing serious mental health needs. Operating year-round, the school provides a distinct combination of flexibility and support to help students achieve both their high school diploma and their transition goals. Students also benefit from the Young Adult Program's rich therapeutic supports that address anxiety, frustration, school refusal, and other issues that derailed their academic success in other schools. As the lead teacher in the classroom, you will educate a class of up to 8 students. You will develop a course of study according to curriculum guidelines of the school district and state requirements. These lesson plans will be tailored for three or more levels of academic ability and previous achievement, and in alignment with the students' IEPs. You will supervise the students in the classroom and instruct the class each day with the assistance of a teacher's aide. You will monitor and grade student performance, supporting the youth in their academic achievement, graduating, and preparing for their next steps. Documentation is also key, so you will conduct standardized tests in accordance with district policies and state laws as well as keep records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation.     The Front Door Diversion Quality Assurance & Care Coordinator is a member of Thresholds Intake Department. The focus of the team is on member satisfaction, service efficacy and availability and member outcomes. The team ensures that funder expectations are being met in service delivery and are available to offer support, guidance and deliver hands‐on training for improvement. The Front Door Diversion Quality Assurance and Care Coordinator serves as the liaison between the agency, IDHS and subsidy administrators. The Quality Assurance and Care Coordinator monitors service delivery and outcomes by maintaining frequent contact with the community service providers, the Thresholds treatment teams, subsidy administrators and direct contact with the members. This role is responsible for the reporting of member transition status and outcomes to all parties involved. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for in‐depth review and evaluation of operational systems, documentation and service delivery according to the expectations and regulations of the various funding sources and with the highest professional standards. This may include, but is not limited to, the standards and documentation requirements as established by: CARF, Medicare, Medicaid, IDHS, DMH, DOA, CILA, DOL, DORS and/ or DCFS. * Identifies areas for improvement and in collaboration with the Program Director, develops actions plans. * Makes recommendations regarding additional training needed for staff. Provides direct hands-on training. * Responsible for helping Programs create and enhance a therapeutic environment. * Attends and participates in task force meetings and other agency‐wide committees as assigned. * Monitor service delivery and availability of needed supports through direct contact with the member and ensures that all basic needs are being met. This requires face to face meetings with member or guardian, treatment teams and external collateral to identify goals, objectives, specific mental health services needed and identification of staff responsible for delivering the services. * Advises direct service staff regarding appropriate responses to members' needs. * Develops criteria by which to review the delivery of all departmental services and make recommendations to assure they operate using the values and principles of recovery. * Provides accurate and timely information to superiors on all topics and issues related to the operation of the agency and the wellbeing of its staff and members. * Oversee weekly reporting for submission to IDHS. * Document Thresholds and IDHS Quality Indicators across transition. Create and complete agency reports for submission to IDHS and the Court. * Acts as an additional clinical eye and facilitates communication between all internal and external treatment providers and supports. * Participates in Critical Case Review Panel calls with the state and completes needed follow up in collaboration with the Program Director. * Travels to work sites (SROs, hospitals, etc.) throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, spending approximately 50% of the week in the community and 50% of the time in the office. * Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION * Master's and/or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field required.     Job Description The Assistant Program Director (APD) will supervise a number of 24/7 Crisis Response Teams (including Mobile Crisis Response teams and a Crisis Stabilization Urgent Care Unit) that will provide community-based interventions to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis wherever they are; at home, work, in the community, or in a crisis center. This new program will be located on the south side of Chicago. The APD will help to establish the necessary collaborations and protocols necessary to make this program successful. The APD reports to the Program Director and is a part of the management structure. The APD is responsible for the overall and day-to-day operation, administration, and evaluation of the Crisis Response program as well as the general welfare of the members and staff. The APD oversees all aspects of the Program in absence of the Program Director. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures the delivery of all program and casework services align with agency objectives and promulgate agency traditions, practices and organizational goals. Provides direct service to members and their families, functioning as the senior clinician or "player coach" of your team. This includes participation on the team in a manner consistent with team expectations and in a fashion which models the functioning expected of all team members. Ensures the team functions optimally, in conjunction with other parts of the program, while meeting the community support and rehabilitation needs of our members, as well as commercial insurance standards. This is to be accomplished in a fashion which is consistent with the agency's mission statement, goals and objectives, formal and informal policies and procedures, as well as with the expectations and regulations of the various funding sources and with the highest professional standards. Assures that all Thresholds procedures regarding the handling of member's funds are followed and that both the members and the Thresholds administration are assured that all safeguards, reports and accounting meets the highest standards. Meets regularly with key staff of other Thresholds programs for the purpose of administration, coordination and development of agency programs. This shall include providing the Program Director with accurate and timely information on topics and issues related to the operation of the program and well‐being of its members. As assigned, appropriately transmit such information to the staff of the program. Assists with special tasks as assigned, including but not limited to: writing proposals, publications, annual reports, representing the agency at meetings, conferences, conducting research, consulting with and training outside visitors and trainees, supervising students, orienting and training new staff. Oversees and manages the physical location(s) utilized as program space. Assumes responsibility for all aspects of staff and member safety relative to the operation of the program(s). Participates in and attends special activities related to the program as assigned. Participates in the implementation of Thresholds emergency plans related to extreme weather or other emergency condition. Performs and participates in crisis intervention when necessary. Thresholds' Emerging Adults Program is seeking a licensed clinician to fill a Therapist role with our Emerge CST team. This program uses an evidence-informed coordinated care approach to treat young adults struggling with serious mental illness. These services are aimed at changing the trajectory of mental health needs for young people and is part of a national innovative movement in services. The multidisciplinary team provides specialized assessment, individual therapy, psychoeducation, medication management, vocational/educational support, community outreach, and case management services. The new therapist will receive training in our models. As the Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy in the clinic setting to children, adolescents, and families with a profound need. Every week, you will work with up to 30 clients for outpatient therapy. Meet face-to-face with the client or guardian to assess needs, identify goals, and develop individual treatment plans. Often this will look like individual therapy sessions but you will also provide family and group therapy and facilitate therapeutic workshops.
