The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for managing the provision of all therapeutic services provided to patients and oversees all aspects of coordination of care for these clients. Participates in assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating and monitoring and evaluation of the services provided to our patients. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of clinical team members. HIRING REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's degree in health care administration or a related field. An active unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. At least one-year experience as an RN obtained within the last 36 months, of which at least 6 months must have been in pediatrics in an acute or home health setting. Comprehensive understanding of issues related to the delivery and coordination of home health care and ability to problem solve issues effectively. Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks of critical importance simultaneously while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitment to goals and objectives. Must be professional, organized and able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based applications. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise day-to-day office/clinical operations. Supervise professional team members in client homes through written and telephone communication, and including onsite supervisory visits. Perform initial assessments and ongoing reassessments to identify all client needs and develop a comprehensive case management plan to address all client needs, with written actions, objectives, and goals including timeframes. Assist client/family to obtain appropriate level and type of health, medical, financial, legal, and psychosocial care as needed. Implement the actions per the plan, and coordinate and monitor all services the client requires through written and oral communication in person or by telephone to determine effectiveness ongoing and make modifications as needed. This includes appropriate interactions with all relevant components of the client's health care system such as physicians, family members, third-party payors, other health providers/professionals, and appropriate government/regulatory agencies. Make appropriate referrals to therapists, social workers, and other health care professionals or programs/assistive technology to meet client/family's needs to include educational, rehabilitative, job development, and life planning issues. Evaluate each clients plan at least every 60 days to determine effectiveness and appropriateness of current plan, modify plan as appropriate in agreement with client's family and physician. Actively participant in the hiring process for clinical team members. Orientation and in-servicing of field and office staff to meet client needs. Prepare 90 Day evaluations, annual evaluations, and conduct coaching and/or counseling sessions. Conduct regular staff meetings with team members to review recertifications, patient/family client concerns, upcoming discharges, policy and procedures, and other related matters. Review time sheets, mileage reports, time off requests, and approve payroll transmittal. Review schedule prepared by the Scheduling Coordinator, approve monthly schedules and changes to schedule to ensure nurse's/therapists skill meets client's requirements. Provide Educational material for family and staff on medical diagnoses, provision of care, and psychosocial aspects of chronic illness and disability. Attend and participate in community education functions. Function in capacity of staff nurse when necessary. Ensure compliance regarding inservice records and development. Take administrative on call as support to the on-call nurse. Conduct Continuous Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement activities as assigned. Conduct Skilled Nursing Visits as needed. Serve as SME and/or Quality approver on QMS records including change controls, continuous improvements, CAPAs, deviations and supplier qualification associated with computerized systems and data integrity. Review and ensure validation compliance for infrastructure systems such as DeltaV, MES, OSI PI, BAS, Clinical and Cloud systems. Act as data integrity SME by ensuring the enforcement of ALCOA+ principles and identifying critical data risks across manufacturing processes, QC methods, and computerized systems. Actively participate in the development of data integrity gap assessment program and assessment tools and eventual gap remediation activities by supporting identification of short term and long term mitigation strategies. Contribute to improvements in CSV/CSA and data integrity policies and procedures, user/functional group SME training and guidance. Support periodic review activities - periodic reviews of computerized systems, user access reviews, audit trail reviews, periodic validation reviews and periodic procedure reviews and updates to maintain compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in the same fields with 8+ years of relevant experience. Experience working in Quality Assurance, Validation, or IT Quality Assurance roles within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Experience working with systems like DeltaV, OSI PI, BAS, Kneat, Veeva, MES or comparable automation and data systems. Familiarity working with manufacturing platforms such as Rotea, Sepax, LOVO, Cue, Prodigy, MaxCyte, Skid Controllers and platform integrations with DeltaV is preferred. Experience with analytical instruments such as Spectramax, Zetasizer, MACSQuant, SoloVPE, BacT with MYLA software, and other laboratory instruments. Experience with supplier management program for computerized system suppliers. Strong operational knowledge of risk-based tools, ALCOA+ principles, FDA and MHRA data integrity guidance, and 21 CFR Part 11/Annex 11 regulations is preferred. Prior experience working as a QA reviewer for embedded computerized systems - manufacturing equipment(s) and analytical instruments. Order and interpret diagnostic studies (i.e. x-rays, MRIs, CTs and serum/join fluid labs, Dexa Scans, Vascular Doppler) Establish a diagnosis, determine a treatment plan, implement the necessary ancillaries, order additional and selective studies or laboratory evaluations. Consult with specialists and interventional physicians, as predicated by the case's diagnosis and severity. Assist in reduction of fractures and dislocations. Provide minor office surgical care (i.e. toenail removal, suturing) Apply and remove casts, splints, and immobilizing devices, remove sutures or staples, change dressings, on patients and draw up injections. Administer injections, immunizations, oral medications, aspirations of joints, suture wounds, wound debridement, and other clinic procedures. Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances and authorize prescription refills. Assist physicians in the application of specialized orthopedic devices. Fit and measure for braces and orthopedic devices. Instruct patient and personal representatives regarding medications and treatment instructions and provides patient education in the use of crutches, canes, and other orthopedic devices. Assist physicians by recording patient progress notes and transcribe orders. Triage patient telephone calls, answer questions and provide consultation and education to the patient and personal representatives. Provide monitoring and continuity of care. Perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations. Hospital Assistance Obtain complete pre-operative medical history and physical data regarding surgery patients. Acquire proper surgical equipment and hardware needed to perform scheduled surgical procedures. Assist in surgery, which may include first assist, deep and superficial tissue closures, application of appliances and any other action delegated by the surgeon. Conduct hospital rounds, evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, formulate and implement a treatment or therapeutic plan for hospitalized patients. Dictate discharge summaries, histories and physicals. Maintain a log of all surgical procedures, for documentation and billing purposes. Take first call for the physician, which may include: deciding to admit, arrange surgical intervention, schedule emergency surgery, radiologic procedures, write orders, permits, and appraisement of the case to the physician. Make emergency room evaluations and inpatient consultations. Administrative Responsibilities Provide supporting documentation and coding information for all health care services provided. Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested. Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations. Protect patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Regulations.
