About the Job:
We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to serve as a Collaborating Physician for our team of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), while also providing part-time direct psychiatric care to clients. This dual role allows for meaningful clinical engagement alongside leadership and oversight responsibilities. Ideal candidates are passionate about team-based mental health care, evidence-based treatment, and supportive collaboration with advanced practice clinicians
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating Psychiatrist Duties:
Provide clinical supervision and support to PMHNPs in accordance with state laws and psychiatric board regulations.
Participate in initial and ongoing chart reviews, case consultations, and quality assurance activities.
Support PMHNPs in complex psychiatric evaluations, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning as needed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements for psychiatric NP supervision.
Contribute to ongoing clinical education, best practice implementation, and policy development.
Clinical (Patient-Facing) Duties:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management sessions.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based psychiatric care for a range of mental health conditions (e.g., mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, etc.).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including therapists, case managers, and social workers.
Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation within the EMR system.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree (MD or DO) with residency training in Psychiatry.
Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN).
Active and unrestricted medical license in multiple states, or willing to get licensed in multiple states
Minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience, preferably with supervisory or collaborative experience with PMHNPs.
Deep understanding of the NP scope of practice in psychiatry and relevant state regulations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in outpatient psychiatry and/or telepsychiatry settings.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care, integrated care, and/or addiction psychiatry (a plus).
Multistate licensure or willingness to obtain additional licenses (if telehealth is part of the model).
Experience with EMR systems and virtual collaboration tools.
Work Schedule:
Supervisory / Collaboration: 10 hours/week (flexible; may include chart review, virtual meetings, and ad-hoc consultations).
Clinical Hours: 30 hours/week, depending on caseload and availability.
Flexibility in schedule and work location (telepsychiatry options available).

The CBOC operates under a Patient Aligned Care Team Model. Together with their team, comprised of a PCP, RN, LVN, and an administrator, the PCP cares for a panel of approximately 1,200-1,260 patients. The PCP provides primary care services in a team-based setting, including chronic disease management and preventive health. Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Unrestricted U.S. Medical License
Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited residency in Internal or Family Medicine
Board certification in current specialty
