    Your responsibilities Shift: 1st shift (7:15AM-3:15PM, Monday-Friday + OT on weekends as needed) Rate of Pay: $20-24/hour depending on experience The Shipping Team Leader oversees daily warehouse and shipping operations, leading a team to ensure safe practices, accurate inventory, and timely, error-free shipments that meet customer demands. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and ERP (SAP) expertise to drive continuous improvement, uphold 6S standards, and maintain a high-performance, safety-focused culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same. * Supervises up to 20 full-time and temporary employees, and ensures they are all properly trained. * Coordinates manpower to ensure needs are met in the event of an employee absence (i.e. vacation). Interprets specifications and job orders to Material Handlers, and assigns duties. * Promotes and supports a teamwork approach to achieving goals, ensuring open and effective communication. * Leads a culture of safety across the warehouse, ensuring that steps are proactively taken to ensure compliance with Company Safety requirements and investigate accidents when needed. * Ensures the development for Material Handlers through cross-training and monitoring job performance. * Embraces a continuous improvement approach through effective leadership, with high levels of integrity and performance for his/herself and others. * Performs as a superior role model for all associates (i.e. attendance). * Ensures implementation of 6S throughout area of responsibility. * Works with dock personnel to resolve receiving, shipping, and storage concerns. * Ensures inventory accuracy through real-time receiving, auditing, and tracking all inbound non-compliance. * Maintains an organized and well documented warehouse area. * Assists in maintaining the current Warehouse Management System; and Warehouse Management module in SAP. * Monitors customer demand to ensure shipment accuracy. * Communicates with Scheduling team to share relevant information pertaining to outbound shipments. * Monitors and investigates inventory discrepancies to ensure shipment accuracy * Performs regular and random audits of outbound customers shipment to ensure accuracy prior to delivery of goods to the customer * Interfaces with various customer websites/applications to ensure shipment preparedness and obtain relevant documentation when necessary. * Collaborates with scheduling team to deal with any high priority shipments. * Operates the forklift when needed to move product or assist with loading and unloading trucks. * Works closely with Warehouse Supervisor to eliminate waste and increase overall efficiencies. * Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies. * Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Acts as the first point of and primary contact for all customers. Is accountable to understand and respond to all customer requirements, compiling and summarizing all fluctuations in demand to a broad distribution. * Receives all incoming customer orders/releases reviewing each for accuracy in addresses, part numbers, revision levels, quantities, dates, etc. Creates new order/line items as deemed necessary. * Controls orders from a requirements variability perspective and, if necessary, escalates potential supply issues with direct customer contacts as well as with Master Planners, Operations, Sales and Logistics. * Creates and maintains a log of customer order/release idiosyncrasies creating and maintaining internal information on orders as required. Notifies Account Managers, Logistics personnel and any relevant personnel of any out-of-the-ordinary occurrences on incoming orders. * Maintains and monitors all relevant/required data on customer specific portals setting and communicating the priority of customer ordering and the need for expedited deliveries while monitoring delivery of electronic shipment notifications. * Responds to customer inquiries expeditiously, offering alternatives while striving for first-call resolution. Proactively anticipates problems, and effectively resolves them before they become major issues. * Works closely with Master Schedulers to advise on production priorities as needed. * Monitors delivery due list & communicates directly to shipping team. * Monitors dunnage stock & returns and manages customer returns. * Attends cross-functional team meetings serving as the department liaison for new product/part launch. * Interfaces with Manufacturing, Engineering, MPP, Quality, and other departments on new products, part changes, material status and production planning issues. * Serves as point of contact for special builds with appropriate Master Planners. * Sets up relevant new part master data and required systematic links ahead of planned production dates. * Maintains part numbers for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). * Helps maintain scheduling agreements & part numbers as required. * Works with the Sales team to understand customer contracts. * Supports inventory management by monitoring and reporting inventory status and initiating recommendations and actions to adjust or replenish inventory levels to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time. * Prepares clear, concise reports, documentation and routine customer correspondence. * Creates and maintains main system files for receiving customer data and sending shipment notification, invoices, etc. Creates and maintains all data as necessary for correct bar codes, packing slips and invoices. * Maintains and creates all bill to and ship to addresses. Creates and maintains for each customer on main system in addition to the address: a phone number where available, a vendor code where available the assigned terms of payments. * Reviews and manages consumption and supply/demand alignment. * Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The Project Manager must display an understanding of general greenhouse environmental systems and controls to ensure design intent. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing, approving, distributing, and archiving project documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications, communications, and change orders); creating and updating project schedules; reviewing and approving quotes and subcontracts; communicating project status both internally and externally; and maintaining accurate revenue forecasts.
