Job DescriptionSalary:

POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for generating revenue through ticket sales via
phone and other forms of communication as well as in-person and events as scheduled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a part time position that will
be scheduled for up to 30+ hours per week. Applicant must be comfortable interacting
with guests and visitors to Texas Motor Speedway.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Meet or exceed communicated call and touchpoint expectations
  • Renew, upgrade and sell new tickets for NASCAR events through outbound efforts
  • Handle incoming sales/service calls, specifically for the NASCAR race at Circuit of the Americas and Texas Motor Speedway events.
  • Assist in the sales and service of other Speedway Motorsports and/or Texas Motor Speedway events as needed and directed.
  • Maintain accounts of clients and prospects within the CRM system
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assist with other assigned department, event, or company responsibilities


REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to attend assigned schedule and schedule of events (evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays). Applicants are expected to work prior to, during, and post-race events at Texas Motor Speedway.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software programs (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Zoom);experience with Ticketmaster Archtics a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

PROJECT DESCRIPTION


Northwestern University and Legends announced a multi-year partnership that will integrate data and analytics, marketing, premium seating, and general ticket sales initiatives into a single revenue-driven approach to support the New Ryan Field project. New Ryan Field will provide Northwestern donors, alumni, Wildcat fans and local Chicago businesses the most premier facility in college football. In addition to leading the New Ryan Field project, Legends will also be responsible for managing data intelligence, marketing and ticket sales for Northwestern Athletics Football at current Ryan Field and Men's and Women's Basketball programs.

Ticket Sales is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season, group, and premium ticket packages for Northwestern Athletics. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. Ticket Sales will work under the direction and guidance of the Vice President, Premium & Ticketing.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • The candidate will be responsible for offering a full menu of seating opportunities for Northwestern Football, Men's Basketball, and all other ticketed sports.
  • Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customers.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Work in conjunction with Northwestern Athletic Department and Ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assist with any administrative ticket functions.
  • Assist with any special projects or duties as assigned by Vice President, Premium & Ticketing.
  • Setting and conducting in arena and out of the office appointments
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game days
  • The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 1-2 years sales experience is preferred
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
  • Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.
  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organization
  • Ability to learn and master software programs including Salesforce CRM and Ticketing platform
  • Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails
  • Candidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best
