Overview:
The Material Handler Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of material handling and shipping operations to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. Duties:
1. Understand and comply with all OSHA, safety, and PPE requirements.
2. Perform daily checks on fork trucks, cranes, and other equipment, documenting results and coordinating maintenance as needed.
3. Prioritize pedestrian safety and ensure safe operations of industrial trucks.
4. Direct the movement of materials to staging areas for daily shipments, loading, and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
5. Inspect trailers for damage before loading materials.
6. Move empty racks to storage areas and ensure shipping labels are removed before storage.
7. Perform other duties and assignments, as necessary.
8. Maintain a daily 5S and organize work areas for efficiency.
9. Support team functions by participating in Kaizen activities, cross-training, problem-solving, and meeting materials metrics.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 3+ years of previous materials handling experience.
3. Understanding of computer applications relating to inventory control, with experience in SAP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to follow standardized work instructions and safety procedures.
2. Experience with forklift operation; overhead crane operation experience preferred.
3. Physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in a challenging environment.

The GGLC Governance team is primarily focused on governance of the month-end GL attestation process.
The GGLC Governance team has recently undergone a period of significant change, with a multi-year project to replace the Firm's books and record attestation tool (Cadency) completing in 2023. With the new attestation tool now bedded in, significant work remains on ongoing tool optimization and subsequent client support and assimilation. Attention is now focused on the post-implementation environment: there is a significant slate of additional projects impacting the governance environment, and a comprehensive reset of the team's remit and profile is well underway, with a focus on the team's critical role in the overall books and records control environment. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $115,000 per year at the
commencement of employment. Purpose:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, assisting with cycle counts, and supporting inventory movement documentation within the warehouse and ERP system. This role ensures that product information, quantities, and stock locations are accurate to support order fulfillment and inventory integrity across the organization.
Nature and Scope:
This role operates in collaboration with warehouse, procurement, and sales operations teams to ensure accurate inventory availability and data consistency. The Inventory Control Specialist will focus on daily transactions, cycle count accuracy, discrepancy resolution, and data input across inventory platforms. The position plays a key part in inventory accountability and supporting ongoing process improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits; reconcile inventory variances
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and location mismatches
Maintain and update item locations, descriptions, and classifications in the ERP system
Support item transfers, adjustments, and returns with accurate documentation and timely data entry
Assist with inbound and outbound transaction reviews to confirm quantity and product accuracy
Communicate inventory issues and resolutions to appropriate teams, including purchasing and warehouse staff
Maintain accurate records for internal audits and reporting requirements
Assist in the implementation of best practices to reduce inventory inaccuracies and improve traceability
Participate in company-wide physical inventory counts and related reporting
Support team members with inventory system usage and inventory control procedures
Working Location and Conditions:
Based in a warehouse/office environment located in Glen Allen, VA
1st shift, Monday through Friday with 1 hour for lunch
Standard two 15-minute break periods per day
May require extended hours during inventory count periods or peak shipping/receiving cycles
Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), and use of warehouse equipment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Associate's Degree preferred
3+ years of inventory control experience
Experienced operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts

Must demonstrate leadership in cross-functional coordination and team development.
