Basic PurposeThe Welder (Cobot Assisted) performs measurements, cutting, and assembly of metal manufacturing products. This includes selecting suitable materials, preparing metal surfaces, determining gas ratios, and inspecting weld strength during and after the welding process. This position will also require the construction of trusses for various applications. This position requires participation in both design and production related topics and effective cross functional collaboration with other manufacturing departments, quality, and management.
Responsibilities

Prepares metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
Interprets specifications and blueprints accurately.
Regularly cleans and inspects welding equipment and tools.
Determines correct gas ratios.

Diagnoses issues and troubleshoots as required.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor or Manager.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
AWS Certification required.
2+ years' experience in structural welding.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be computer literate.
Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a full-time, experienced, and conscientious Welder to join our high-performance team. This individual will be responsible for producing metal products according to employer specifications; reading, interpreting, and following two and three dimensional diagrams; and keeping a clean, inventoried work station. The candidate will need to be able to use basic power tools, test and calibrate parts and mechanisms, and be skilled in multiple facets of welding and fabrication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FABRICATION - Participate in fabrication of metal sub-assemblies for ESI products (includes MIG, TIG, STICK Welding and Saw, CNC plasma, press brake, etc.), and perform quality control checks on fabricated assemblies. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
FABRICATION DEVELOPMENT - Collaborate with Fabrication Team Supervisor to improve fabrication processes and assist in implementation of any process changes.
PRODUCTION QUALITY & SAFETY COORDINATION - Coordinate with Production Manager for overall work scheduling, maintain compliance and participation in ESI Quality Management Program, and ensure compliance with ESI Safety Program requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical School or Associated Degree preferred.
Welding Certifications: 6F and 6G structural and pipe a plus.
