Reporting to our local Technician Team Leader and working as a key member of our Alta Genetics USA Tech Services Inc. company, this role is responsible to provide maternity support and labor service to assigned customers.
Location: working in and around Phoenix, AZ
Primary Responsibilities
Accurately follow on-farm procedures as designated by each individual technician
Provide for the safe, efficient and successful processing of Maternity animals of customer herds
Cooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service offering into a total farm management plan
Help locate, train and develop competent relief help
Provide accurate and timely reports when specifically requested
Provide timely response to requests for information
Cooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service.
Develop improved practices in animal feeding, housing, sanitation, or parasite and disease control.
Ensure protocols are followed for nutrition, reproduction, growth, and development of cattle to improve herd health.

As a Service Technician you will run electrical and mechanical diagnostics and deliver required repairs onsite at customer locations. Key responsibilities are going to be troubleshooting and repairing overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists and drives; performing scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment; and comprehensive quality inspections of overhead industrial cranes and hoists. You'll need to be able to read and understand work instructions, manuals, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience as a technician or mechanic in an industrial environment working on equipment is going to have you on the right path. If you have experience working on overhead cranes, that's even better and will allow you to jump right in. The role will work on its on at times and at other times connect with our other techs on assignments. We provide a work vehicle, company credit card and company phone to help you get things done.

Oversees the maintenance and repair of ammonia compressors, condensers, receivers, evaporators and pumps, water softeners, water pumps, hot water heaters, water filters and reservoirs, compressor turbines and motors, and auxiliary power sub-station and main electric control panel boards.
Also oversees the maintenance and repair of utility equipment such as steam, water, air, and stand-by equipment including temperature controls, thermostats, meters and temperature and pressure recorder.
Responsible for the continuous improvement of preventative and corrective maintenance policies, procedures, and reporting system.
Performs HAZMAT team assignments as required and assists in Emergency Response Program and in the evacuation of the Plant when needed.
Follow all rules and regulations of the Process Safety Management program.
Physically capable of performing job duties while wearing a Respirator in certain situations
Stays up to date on required company trainings.
