Experienced Mechanic - Field Service Branch Location: Brooklyn Heights, Ohio JOB SUMMARY Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial vehicles, including forklifts, railcar movers, container handlers, and terminal tractors. Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repair work in the field at customer sites. Prioritize work orders, comply with safety incident reporting, and ensure all paperwork is submitted timely and accurately. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Candidate must possess a high school diploma or it's GED Equivalent. Candidate must possess a degree or certificate from an automotive trade school or related mechanic trade school. (2 years of additional experience can be substituted for this requirement) EXPERIENCE Candidate must possess five (5) years of experience in maintaining and repairing automotive and/or diesel equipment as a primary trade capacity in a professional fleet shop, dealership, or similar environment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record in accordance with the Sewer District's acceptable guidelines. Candidate must possess a Class “A” CDL with a tank endorsement “N” prior to completion of the probationary period. The CDL license must be without restrictions “E, L, or Z” related to air brakes and manual transmission. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Candidate must possess knowledge in structural, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Knowledge of transmission maintenance and repair, on board computer reflash, and programming of various electronic modules is preferred but not required.
