Blake & Pendleton customers operate in a varied type of industries, such as manufacturing, utility, forestry, mining, etc. Blake & Pendleton primarily supports Sullair compressed air equipment but also provides support for many other equipment designs. Therefore, the Service Technician must possess a high degree of experience and a desire to improve these skills as equipment modifications change. Service Technicians must have the necessary safety training and certifications as determined by industry agencies (example OSHA, MHSA, etc). Service Technicians have a fixed schedule for work but also may be required to deviate from schedule per customer's request as well as required to work on call using an assigned rotating schedule by the Service Manager. Technicians are frequently required to lift over 50 lbs and occasionally exceed 100 lbs., climb ladders, carry buckets of lubricants weighing between 25 lbs & 55 lbs, bend as well as work after hours and in inclement weather. Requirements ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE: Skilled in troubleshooting 120V control circuits. Must be able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair single phase and 3Phase motor control circuits up to 480V, such as full voltage, reduced voltage and soft starters as well as 3 phase and single phase motor troubleshooting. Because who you are is what we need. **Job Category** Retail **Position Summary** The Lead Technician position requires your experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while using your leadership and mentoring skills in driving a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Pay Range: $23.40 - $40.32 Our technicians enjoy a performance-based compensation model known as flat-rate pay. This system rewards our skilled professionals with a predetermined amount for each eligible task, fostering a culture of efficiency and swift task accomplishment, ensuring you're fairly rewarded for your expertise and dedication. These rates reflect average productivity by region. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems. + Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals. + Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous **_paid_** formal training. + Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities. + Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment. (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail.
