These rates reflect average productivity by region. **Responsibilities** + Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services. + Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems. + Install batteries and check electrical systems. + Perform tire maintenance. + Install parts. + Road test vehicles. + Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Separate tires from wheels, using rubber mallets and metal bars or mechanical tire changers. Inspect tire casings for defects, such as holes and tears. Seal punctures in tubeless tires by inserting adhesive material and expanding rubber plugs into punctures, using hand tools. Reassemble tires onto wheels. Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size and ply. Place wheels on balancing machines to determine counterweights required to balance wheels. Hammer required counterweights onto rims of wheels. Remount wheels onto vehicles. Locate punctures in tubeless tires by visual inspection or by immersing inflated tires in water baths and observing air bubbles. Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects. Rotate tires to different positions on vehicles, using hand tools. Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed. Inflate inner tubes and immerse them in water to locate leaks.     Job Description Join a great service team! We are looking for a production bicycle technician. Some of the things you will be doing on a daily basis to help bike riders get out and enjoy their bike rides - First and foremost, repairing bicycles - thorough repair the first time. Customer service - communicating with the customer any additional needs or update on repair, when needed/ Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Meet or exceed shop production standards. Complete paperwork accurately and fully (record parts used work performed detail of torque tolerance and standard procedures; complete pricing of job ticket) and process to next status or location. Record and report any deficiencies not addressed by the repair work being done to the customer and or the appropriate leader. Assist customer in the repair process by sharing product and technical knowledge as appropriate. Operate cash register as necessary. Report or record replacement parts inventory and supply shortages to the General Manager. Maintain shop cleanliness including bench and common work-space. Install and adjust speed and gear mechanisms. Assemble new bicycles when needed. Install, repair, and replace equipment or accessories, such as handlebars, stands, lights, and seats. Align wheels. Disassemble axles to repair, adjust, and replace defective parts, using hand tools. Install and adjust brakes and brake pads. Install new tires and tubes. Clean and lubricate bicycle parts. Keying in POS bicycle parts needed for that repair - Special Ordering. Build wheels by cutting and threading new spokes. Other duties as needed/ assigned. Requirements What we are looking for in you to be a good fit on our team-: Experience preferred working as a technician/ mechanic in a bike shop, but not mandatory. Interest in working in a team environment.
