Job Title: Tire Technician, Level 1
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to: Store Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
Mounting and dismounting tires, flat repairs, and vehicle inspections. This is the core of the business function and a starting point for all other positions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform tire work (both retail and commercial). Mount and dismount, air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation and flat repairs. Ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
Inspect vehicles as per the VIR training expectations.
May recommend safety and preventative services to our customers.
Receiving of product into location prior to putting away.
Review procedure, Quick Guide Parts Ordering on Treadnet
Perform vehicle oil changes as per VIR training standards as required.
Assist with opening and closing of store, including EOD.
End of shift duties completed (cleaning, finishing work, manager approval).
Ensures that customer satisfaction and communication is of the utmost importance.
Facility maintenance and clean-up including but not limited to:
Sweeping, empty garbage cans
Assist in organization of all tire and lube shop related supplies.
Parking lot cleaned of debit and/or garbage.
Warehouse Organization to include ensuring like tires are together, inventory is faced, rows are clean and tidy and help ensure the area stays safe for operating.
Maintains a high level of cleanliness of your workspace including bay areas, Commercial Tire Vehicles, and customer vehicles.
Shuttle and/or customer courtesy driver.
Assist with phone and counter duties as needed.
Ensures that customer satisfaction and communication is of the utmost importance.
Completes all training as assigned.
Other duties as assigned, to include but not limited: oil changes, lube shop support, alignment support.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair work in accordance with company and manufacturer quality standards and procedures.
DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
