T3 Fleet Mechanic
Tire technician job in La Mirada, CA
Schedule: 10pm - 6:30am
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is 36.96/hour.
This role will also receive overtime compensation and shift differential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certificates.
Other duties as assigned by manager.

Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager
External: Vendor service providers when required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
EPA 608 required
LICENSES
Must possess a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do
You'll get your hands dirty serving as a mid-level auto tech performing medium-duty work. Other responsibilities include:
* Providing highly skilled maintenance and repairs for all vehicles.
* Performing diagnostics which may include brake components, tires, suspension components, drivability and complete repairs.
* Performing advanced diagnostics, which may include charging, starting, AC, OBDII, drivability, electrical systems and complete repairs.

Tire technician job in Los Angeles, CA
The Automotive Technician I will perform preventative maintenance duties and assists with repairs to fleet vehicles and equipment.
Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance duties such as changing oil, replacing filters, checking fluid levels, lubricating moving parts, checking tires, replacing burned out lights, checking and replacing belts/hoses
Check and repairs brakes
Rebuild small engines and repairs equipment
Pick up parts from suppliers
Perform minor welding repairs
Wash vehicles
Temporarily covering at another shop in your zone at certain times per year (for sick leaves, holidays, vacations, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of automotive repair and maintenance experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
Must have a valid California Driver's License
Must obtain ASE A5 Brakes Certifications within 90 days of hire
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 50 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools. Additional details related to physical requirements may be outlined in the Company's Performance Work Statement or Contract with the client.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are in two shifts, Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or Monday-Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.

As an Automotive Alignment Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of alignment, related service and repair for all automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities
Selling and performing complete vehicle alignment on all cars and light trucks
Selling and performing other vehicle services on all cars and light trucks, including but not limited to brake work, suspension service, axle work and oil and lubrication services
Balancing of wheel assemblies
Performing all types of tire service and repair
Cleaning and maintaining service equipment including the service are
Desired Qualifications
21+ years old
Valid drivers license
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team
Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision
Must possess a mechanical aptitude
Familiar with all cars and light truck alignment and wheel balancing equipment
Preferred Experience
3+ years of relevant vehicle service experience
High School Diploma or GED
Good driving record
Prefer Hunter Combo Fundamental/Intermediate Alignment Level I. Level II and Introduction to Advanced Driver Assist Systems a plus
