Responsibilities Mounting and dismounting tires on retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers. Including training and use of additional safety equipment for enhanced danger. Balancing tires to ensure proper weight distribution. Understanding additional balance mechanisms such as balance beads and balance rings. Identifying and repairing punctures or other damage to tires and/or tubes. Patching or plugging tires as necessary. Evaluating retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers, lifting using proper equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Rotating tires at regular intervals to promote even tread wear, including medium truck and trailer patterns. Operate a Standard Commercial Service Truck (No Boom) Performing all the above tasks out of a mobile service truck. Responding to service calls dispatched to customer locations, which may include highways, parking lots, or job sites. Proper use of mobile equipment that may be different than equipment used at the store. Ensuring the mobile unit is properly maintained and stocked with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies. Efficiently managing time to respond promptly to service calls and complete on-site services. Maintaining communication with a service coordinator throughout service calls and documenting service call properly depending on customer needs Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
