His research focus during the last 10 years has been to identify the active biological components of human amniotic membrane, to develop alternative products in delivering the efficacies of its natural healing properties, and to expand the benefits of its clinical applications. He is a well-published physician scientist with over 300 peer-reviewed clinical and scientific papers. Dr. Tseng received his M.D. at National Taiwan University and his Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his residency for Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins and his fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
