Titanium Industries company history timeline

1984

In 1984, ownership of Frankel company changed hands and the company was renamed Frankel Metal Company.

1996

Frankel Metal was purchased by Robert Swenson in 1996 and the name of the company was changed to Global Titanium Inc.

1998

Washington, DC: United States Government Printing Office, 1998.

2001

One of the most notable recent uses of titanium is in artificial hearts first implanted in a human in 2001.

2006

In 2006, the company installed a second installation for processing aerospace grade titanium turnings.

2014

In 2014, Global Titanium started its entry into making small titanium parts with investment casting and metal injection molding (MIM). The company has developed its own in-house process technology and has a facility dedicated to this new product line.

2018

Some reports expect the titanium industry to grow by 4 to 5% by 2018.
