Summary
The Mortgage Loan Closer (Temporary) is responsible for closing all first and second mortgages, working closely with the Loan Officers and Processors from final approval through post-closing of the mortgage loan. This position requires strong communication and time management skills, as well as strict attention to detail.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Closes first and second mortgage applications in accordance with secondary market/Credit Union guidelines and ensures loan documentation complies with Federal, State, and local rules and regulations.
2. Works with the lending team to maintain archiving of mortgage files.
3. Facilitates mortgage loan closing; this includes but is not limited to reviewing loan file, preparing closing instructions, reviewing settlement statements, issuing final closing documents, and confirming closing successfully occurred by obtaining signed document copies.
4. Funds mortgage loan ensuring all rules and regulations are followed. In addition, ensures all internal wire controls are followed and necessary notification is provided to Finance.
5. Boards mortgage loan to third party sub-servicer, ensuring all required data and documents are transmitted accurately, timely and successfully - understanding the downstream impact of errors in this process (to the borrower, Finance, Loan Sales, and more).
6. Monitors closing pipeline to identify areas that require intervention in order to expedite the mortgage process and takes action accordingly.
7. Inputs and updates data into loan origination systems and assures adequate file integrity. Generates and/or ensures timely generation of all required documentation and closing disclosures.
8. Submits mortgage loans through Desktop Underwriter and reviews the automated underwriting conditions to ensure loan still meets original approval eligibility.
9. Interacts with assigned Loan Officer, Processor and Underwriter to resolve any file discrepancies in order to ensure timeliness of closing, compliance, and loan delivery for committed loans.
10. Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with members, vendors, attorneys, relocation agents, title company representatives and staff members in order to ensure proficient closing of all loans and a positive experience for borrowers and referral partners.
11. Works with outside vendors and service providers to facilitate the loan process.
12. Supports Mortgage Operations area as necessary, including overflow support for Loan Submission and Loan Processing.
13. Identifies process improvements to automate and/or streamline operations and maintain adequate controls.
14. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management, partners and vendors.

Launch the "Okay to Pay" the owner/insured to the Insurance company after final review of file for compliance
Will monitor and work a shared inbox to ensure the tasks and directives are addressed and completed per company policy, timelines, and contractual obligation.

Requirements
1 year of office customer service experience
Education: HS degree
Must live in the United States
Proficient in basic office equipment and with Microsoft products
Ability to identify/analyze vehicle title documents within company and State guidelines
Ability to work closely with State DMV's and Lien Holder entities
Problem solver
Ability to multi-task
Basic 10 key proficiency
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills -- written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills and attitude
Basic math skills
Ability to delegate/prioritize workflow
Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Pay: $18.00 - $20.29 per hour

About the role: The Commercial Loan Closer facilitates the loan closing process while providing a high quality of customer service while complying with Bank Policy and Federal Regulations. What you'll do: Review and structure complex commercial, commercial real estate, and construction loan documentation, including letters of credit and supporting documentation, to ensure that all loan documents are: *
Complete and accurate * In compliance with federal regulations, compliant with terms and conditions as approved by the appropriate lending body * In adherence to CFBank policies prior to the disbursement of loan proceeds * Identify, report funding exceptions appropriately * Post-review of attorney-prepared loan documentation, including the supporting documentation * Post-closing follow-up for recorded documentation, tickler set up etc. * Identifying and reporting loan closing and documentation issues * Maintain a close working relationship with credit regarding loan structure and financial and covenant requirements * Provide outstanding customer service and display a positive attitude at all times. * Adhere to all regulations, policies, and record-keeping requirements. Complete all required training related to bank regulations and policies. * Accept other responsibilities and projects as requested to add value for CFBank. Education and Experience * Minimum of 3 years of banking experience, primarily in commercial loan document preparation and review experience. * Minimum of 1-year complex commercial loan document review experience preferred. * Minimum of 2 years LaserPro experience preferred. * Strong working knowledge of complex commercial loan documentation, including trusts and various loan agreements, letters of credit, and entity documents. * Able to work with various software programs (i.e.: FIS/Horizon, Word, Excel, LaserPro, exception tracking systems, etc.).
