Jon Kirchner is our chief executive officer and also serves on our board of directors. Previously he was president of Xperi following the completion of the acquisition of DTS in December 2016. At DTS he was appointed chairman of the board of directors in 2010 and served as its chief executive officer beginning 2001. Jon led DTS through a period of significant success, growing it from a small startup, to a global industry leader generating over $190 million in licensing revenue. After joining DTS in 1993, Jon served in a number of senior leadership roles including president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Prior to joining DTS he worked for the consulting and audit groups at Price Waterhouse LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP). During his tenure at Price Waterhouse LLP, he advised clients on a range of strategy, finance, operations and valuation issues. In 2012, Jon received the Ernst & Young Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Greater Los Angeles and in 2011, he was honored by the Producers Guild of America, receiving the “Digital 25: Leaders in Emerging Entertainment” award for being among the visionaries that have made significant contributions to the advancement of digital entertainment and storytelling.

Peter Halt is the chief financial officer for Rovi. Prior to his appointment as Chief Financial Officer in May 2012, Mr. Halt served as the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer since May 2008 when the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International by the Company was completed. Mr. Halt previously served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Gemstar from March 2004 to May 2008. Prior to joining Gemstar, Mr. Halt served in various capacities at Sony Pictures Entertainment, including serving as Chief Financial Officer of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment from November 2000 to November 2003 and Corporate Controller of Sony Pictures Entertainment from July 1997 to November 2000. Mr. Halt holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Southern California.
