The Mechanical Engineering Project Manager in this role manages the full scope of work from preparation of proposal through construction. Duties include overseeing all technical aspects of facility projects, reviewing all documents for quality control and quality assurance, and coordinating engineers and sub-consultants. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):
Project Management:
Responsible for design and management of facilities engineering projects including ensuring completeness and accuracy of design effort.
Responsible for the various design elements to complete a project, system, component, or system with other team members with clear and specified objectives involving conventional types of plans, surveys, investigations, structures, and/or equipment.
Prepares complete project documentation to include plans, specifications, and engineer estimates including the collection, assembling, and organizing of project data.
Evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project assignments; formulates and solves problems.
Works on multiple projects of moderate to large size using time efficiently to stay within budget and timely delivery.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years' experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS
Knowledge of HVAC engineering and design and be familiar with applicable Codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
Experience with plumbing and fire protection a plus.
Project experience that includes Direct Expansion (DX) equipment and chilled water systems.
Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, piping design, and equipment selections.
Experience in equipment selection including air handling units, fans, VAV terminals, package units, pumps, chillers, and heating.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and clients.
Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up on assignments with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain confidentially and protect privileged client information and documents appropriately.
Knowledge of correct English usage including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
LICENSURE
Valid drivers' license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record.
Professional Engineer licensure with ability to obtain Florida licensure within six (6) months, required.
Ability to become licensed in multiple states, preferred.
