General Role Description
Develop and implement commercial and technical strategies for current and potential clients for technical services in the metals industry segment on a rolling 18-month cycle to deliver orders budget
Role Accountabilities
- Identify, establish contact, and develop relationships with a network of purchase influencers within current and potential client organizations to position the Company to create and bid for their opportunities

General Role Description

Role Accountabilities

General Role Description

General Role Description
Provide Technical Advisory Services (TAS) to coordinate installation and commissioning activities for assigned projects while meeting project schedules and performance criteria.
Role Accountabilities
- Commission AC and DC drive systems and/or control software to meet design performance criteria
- Perform tune up of closed loop regulators to ensure optimal equipment performance and meet design parameters
- Troubleshoot and correct process application problems in complex control systems
- Design, configure, and test system software and hardware to meet contractual requirements when assigned
- Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work
- Provide regular, accurate, and considered commissioning status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situation

- Train client personnel on system maintenance procedures and/or system operation to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtime
- Plan and execute special projects up to 9 months in duration to support the department when assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative and communication skills
Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
Proficiency in MS Excel, Work and Access
Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, more than 75% of the time, sometimes with limited notice

Provide specialized, variable frequency drive (VFD) and control engineering expertise, service, and maintenance at site and remotely
Role Accountabilities
- Advise clients and Company engineers to resolve on-site issues, as the factory expert for the Company's VFD products
- Provide technical support to clients and other engineers, when not in the field
- Perform preventative maintenance on client equipment
- Analyze client equipment failures using remote diagnostics tools, performing diagnostic and repair services at client site when necessary

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of science in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field or equivalent via education and/or work experience
3 years of field engineering experience in power conversion (A/C VFD engineering) experience, with familiarity with power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products
Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, approximately 50%, occasionally with limited notice
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of technical services, field, or customer support engineering experience in AC and DC Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) in an industrial environment
- Demonstrated field engineering experience in metals rolling, container crane systems, and/or paper industries
- Legacy A/C and DC VFD engineering experience to include AC/DC2000, AV/DC300, Innovation Series, T250
- Controls engineering experience in LAN Topology for ISBUS, Profibus, Modbus, EGD, DeviceNet, TC-net, MELPAC, and TOSLINE protocol
- Demonstrated experience working with PLCs manufactured by Toshiba, GE, Rockwell, and Mitsubishi Electric
- Demonstrated ability to install, inspect, and maintain equipment in accordance with relevant operating/installation instructions
- Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin, written and verbal, in addition to English, for international client communications

General Role Description
Provide hardware design for electrical distribution and control solutions for the industrial systems projects that meet client needs and fulfill project requirements.
Role Accountabilities
- Develop detail specifications for suppliers through collaboration with mechanical original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and end-user clients, per the contract and global industry standards, to ensure high quality designs and on-time delivery
- Create electrical circuit drawings that accurately reflect each project's PC, PLC & I/O, AC and DC drives, power distribution panels, operator station devices, and other control equipment to ensure a design that meets project requirements and quality standards
- Generate IO spreadsheet that defines the electrical and drawing attributes for each and every IO point required for a project
- Generate Company specific IO Card drawings for each project using Company designated automated drawing tool
- Create the AC and DC control power distribution drawings, relay, network and sensor interface drawings for each project using Company designated software
- Ensure “as shipped” systems meet all client requirements as defined in the project contract, including system specifications and performance guarantees, while achieving business goals and objectives
- Track all revisions to the IO list and drawings, complying with established change control procedures
- Create project drawings to reflect preliminary, manufacturing, as shipped, and final “As-Installed” configurations
- Create and update the project drawings to support site commissioning activities as needed
- Develop project documentation, such as drawing lists, panel lists, enclosure layout drawings, spare parts lists, and equipment lists, in accordance with standard design standards and project requirements
- Control document distribution, and archiving using established document control procedures
- Develop engineering standards and engineering practices that contribute to the development of Company engineering automation tools to improve productivity, increase quality, and reduce cost of hardware design
- Communicate and collaborate with mechanical OEM and client engineers as assigned
- Provide timely technical guidance to internal and external clients and suppliers as required to ensure total project requirements are met

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering with control automation coursework, mechatronics, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent via education and/or work experience
- 2 years' design experience in circuit and control panel design and/or commissioning of control systems for industrial applications
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards related to control panel design including device selection, cable selection etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial PLC and field I/Os
- Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD or equivalent drawing tool for industrial applications
- Demonstrated success as contributing member in project team
