To direct, oversee and coordinate all phases of maintenance and construction at Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun and Worlds of Fun Village including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, electronic, carpentry, painting, fiberglassing, and plumbing.
Responsibilities:
-Participates in long-term construction planning for new park projects. Oversees all construction projects. Negotiates contracts for, schedules and coordinates contractors, engineers and architects supplying services and/or materials to ensure completion of maintenance and construction projects on time and within budget. Helps establish scope of work and makes sure contractors provide the required work in a timely manner. Coordinates details of construction projects with the directors and/or managers of other departments as appropriate. Works with Cedar Fair Corporate to make sure that projects are completed on time, on budget and as designed.
-Oversees and participates in the selection, training, scheduling and supervision of all Maintenance employees to make sure they are knowledgeable of and proficient in proper procedures including those involving safety issues. -Develops and implements a plan to ensure that all park property, facilities, rides, landscape, and equipment are installed, maintained and, when necessary, repaired in a safe, reliable and cost effective manner. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Kansas City, MO, for a Sr. Project Controls Specialist. The individual in this role will oversee project controls, including cost management, scheduling, and tracking project performance to ensure alignment with goals. Daily responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing project costs, preparing regular financial reports, and coordinating with project teams to ensure efficient use of resources and budget. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying risks and providing recommendations to mitigate them.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Project Control and Cost Control to monitor and manage project budgets and progress effectively.
Proven skills with Primavera P6, with the ability to assess performance metrics and identify cost-efficiency opportunities.
Experience with Budgeting and Cost Management practices to ensure accurate forecasting and financial planning.
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in relevant software tools for project and financial management.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in the energy or industrial sectors is advantageous.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills for teamwork and stakeholder management.

Hosts set the tone for the entire experience by delivering an upbeat, conversational introduction to groups of 2-14 guests, and they connect with guests of all ages to make their visit as fun and memorable as possible. During gameplay, hosts will introduce each minigame, keep the energy up by adding fun commentary, track points, award a winning team, and ensure every single guest enjoys their experience. After the game, hosts celebrate with guests and reset studio components accurately and efficiently.
HOW HOSTS SERVE OUR GUESTS AND OUR TEAM

● Using Host software to interact with and adjust the studio environment

● Ensuring operational excellence on shift by:
Ensuring studio components function properly
Using setup sheets to accurately reset studios
Cleaning games and the GBGS facility

Using a company iPhone to record exciting guest moments during games, using an app to combine them into a 30-second highlight video, and sending these to guests

REQUIREMENTS
● Flexible availability. This role often works nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
● Ability to stand for extended periods of time (including 1 hour of running a game show, for a max of 4-5 shows per shift.)
● Ability to engage in public speaking for extended periods of time (including 1 hour of running a game show, for a max of 4-5 shows per shift.)
● Ability to improvise fun, appropriate, professional commentary to suit guests of all ages.
● Proficient in reading, understanding, and memorizing Host scripts to deliver high-quality experiences as a GBGS Host
● Excellent communication skills when speaking with our guests.
● Must be able to handle physical activity as it relates to the job, such as deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30-40 lbs, and minor game repairs.
● Quickly resetting numerous game components within specific time frames outlined in training.
● Align with GBGS Uniform Standards (listed in the linked job description).
