JOB SUMMARY The central role of the summer MAC teacher is to plan and develop daily activities, games, crafts and field trips for their classroom. Teachers will collaborate with the site supervisor and Recreation Supervisor Assistant and/or Recreation Supervisor in charge of the summer MAC program and support the program's daily agenda. They will also supervise and keep the children safe and handle any behaviors that may arise. The summer MAC teacher will need to build relationships with children, parents, staff and school employees. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Greet parents and children as they arrive and leave. Be readily available to communicate with the parents about daily schedules, behaviors, etc. Develop and implement daily activities, crafts, games, etc. Communicate daily schedules with your teacher aid and any other helpers in your classroom.
