RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming
Facilitate parent-child interactive activities. There are 3 core programs:
Gymboree classes include age appropriate play activities on our custom designed play equipment, songs, parachute play, and bubbles.
Music classes involve instrument activities, singing, dancing and exploring a variety of music styles from around the world.
Candidates must possess music background to teach Gymboree Music classes.
Arts classes offer hands-on, process-oriented activities including painting, sculpting, collage making and dress-up time, in addition to movement activities and songs that support different art themes explored.
Additional Program (ex. Gymboree on the Go, Baby Signs , etc.) opportunities for qualified candidates.
Teach a minimum of two birthday parties per month.
Lesson plan according to Gymboree curriculum.
Sales/Customer Service
Be responsible for knowing and achieving sales goals.
Use features and benefits of Gymboree to provide information and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties and special events to new and existing customers.
Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers.
Assist with off-site grassroots events (ex. Gymboree Retail Store, etc.)
Operations
Work with PlayWeb, our online database management system.
Attend designated staff meetings and trainings.
Maintain site standards, including, but not limited to: cleaning, stocking and pricing of merchandise, and helping with equipment set changes.
NOTE: Gymboree Play & Music provides all training necessary.

Overview
Advance student potential-and your own-as you collaborate with the teacher to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support. Responsibilities
* Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Lead small group instruction as you implement the SESI academic rotational model.
* Partner with the teacher in providing customized behavior and academic support and conducting formal and informal assessments.
* Reinforce students' learning of teacher-introduced materials and skills by assigning relevant tasks, using data to determine appropriate materials, and completing one-on-one tutorials.

The job of Teacher - Middle School is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a middle school teacher with specific responsibilities for developing student success in academics (e.g. Reading, writing, language, math, etc.) or skills (e.g. Art, music, physical education, etc.); supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
This job reports to Site Administrator
Essential Functions
Administers subject specific assessments and tests for the purpose of assessing the level of students' competencies.
Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
Advises students for the purpose of improving performance, health status, problem solving techniques and a variety of personal issues.
Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, District personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes, achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan.
Demonstrates pedagogical approaches that engage learners for the purpose of providing an effective program that addressing individual student requirements.
Differentiates classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning within established lesson plans.
Directs student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers and/or student workers for the purpose of providing an effective classroom program and addressing the needs of individual students.
Instructs students for the purpose of improving their success in academics through a defined course of study.
Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
Monitors students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, field trips, dances, athletic events, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
Participates in a variety of meetings (e.g. district, staff, departmental, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Participates on PLC team for the purpose of reviewing data and instructional practices.
Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. grades, attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting student progress and meeting mandated requirements.
Reports health and safety issues to assigned administrator and appropriate agencies (e.g. fights, suspected child or substance abuse, inappropriate social behaviors, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining students personal safety, a positive learning environment and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
Responds to inquires from a variety of sources (e.g. other teachers, parents, administrators, etc.) for the purpose of resolving issues, providing information and/or direction.
Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Other Functions
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying assessment instruments; operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications; repairing and maintaining accurate records; applying curriculum and instructional techniques.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: appropriate codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; age appropriate activities; lesson plan requirements; stages of child development; behavioral management strategies; assessment instruments and techniques, methods of instruction.

There is some opportunity to significantly impact the organization's services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 40% walking, and 50% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Experience: Job related experience is desired.
Education: Bachelors degree in job-related area.
