• Assist youth with high school and, occasionally, middle school homework
• Monitor grades on a weekly basis by accessing EdEase and contacting teachers
• Tutor youth who are working on their GED certificate and assist them by grading their work and monitoring their progress
• Provide weekly progress reports on all residents
• Enforce study hours rules and maintain order during study hours

EVSC Special Education Assistants work throughout the school year, beginning one day before school begins and ending on the last day of school. Enjoy your summers off! The schedule is 5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day and follows the EVSC School Board of Trustees approved school calendar. This includes 27+paid holidays throughout the school year!

This position is based upon student enrollment in this school building. Fluctuating student enrollment may make it necessary to move an employee to another school building or reduction in hours. Part-time Description
Create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their physical, cognitive, and emotional development. Responsible for providing care, implementing age-appropriate activities, and communicating with parents. This role requires a deep understanding of child development, a patient and caring demeanor, and the ability to create a safe and engaging learning space.
Requirements
Applicants must be able to met the following criteria:
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- Have availability Monday through Friday 7:15 - 12:15 pm |12:30-5:30 pm
- Have reliable transportation to and from the YMCA
- Have a willingness to work with infants, toddlers and staff in an engaging manner
-Must pass a background check, TB test, have HS diploma, and successfully complete 15 hours of training
