Paraeducator - Mild/Mod, In-Person, Full-Time RCM is looking for paraeducators around the Redwood City/East Palo Alto area. Full time W2 contract with benefits providing services to school students during school hours. IN PERSON SERVICES AT THE SCHOOL LOCATION ONLY. Paraeducator Position Summary Reporting to the school leader & under the direction of the Education Specialist or other certificated employee, the Paraeducator will primarily assist by performing a variety of academic and behavior support duties to individual or small groups of students within the special education classroom, regular classroom and other school settings. These duties shall be designed to complement the instructional program to maximize learning opportunities for students in a variety of educational settings. The Paraeducator will also assist in the establishment and implementation of appropriate classroom and school-wide behavior and assist students to access all aspects of the educational environment of the school and the community. Paraeducator Required Qualifications Paraeducator Experience: Paid or volunteer experience working with or serving individuals with autism or behavioral deficits is preferred. RAFT is looking for an energetic Camp Lead Teacher to facilitate and deliver our dynamic STEAM curriculum and create meaningful learning experiences for K5 campers. Working closely with staff counselors, youll help bring lessons to life while maintaining an engaging, well-managed classroom environment. This is a perfect opportunity for an educator with strong classroom management skills who wants to make a lasting impact while upholding RAFTs high standards for camp facilitation. What Youll Do Bring RAFTs hands-on lessons to life, adapting activities as needed to ensure every camper is inspired and engaged. Manage a group of up to 24 campers, fostering collaboration, fun, and respect while maintaining an organized and clean space. Participate in at least 9 hours of onboarding, professional development, and staff meetings prior to camp. Operate with minimal supervision from the Site Director, showing initiative and flexibility throughout the day. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the assigned SJB Child Development Center classroom to ensure compliance with SJB Curriculum, Policies & Procedures and State and Federal Mandates. Provides guidance and support to classroom staff, children, and families. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their learning process. Plans and implements developmentally appropriate lesson plans through study topics using assigned curriculum. Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each child's progress using assessments to develop goals and objectives for the child. Analyzes and interprets assessment results and uses the data to plan classroom activities and individual children plans. Ensure and manage classroom staff implementation of SJB policies and procedures, Tittle 22 regulations, Title 5 regulations, and state and federal mandates.
