Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in managing a class of up to six students (ages 5-10) at a 3:1 student-to-staff ratio
Assist in delivering individualized and group instruction
Implement behavior support strategies under the guidance of BCBAs and RBTs
Facilitate transitions, classroom routines, and activities of daily living
Help collect data on academic and behavioral progress
Contribute to a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children (required)
Experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college coursework in education, psychology, or a related field is a plus
Calm, patient, and dependable with strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) is a plus
RBT certification a plus
Training and certification support available for candidates not yet certified
Willingness to learn and take direction in a multidisciplinary environment
