The Teacher Aide is responsible to provide A.M. residential assistance and supervision of students during A.M. and P.M. transportation. Job Duties/ Essential Functions * Assist the Teacher with instructional planning and implementation, keeping records, setting up activities, and any other duties deemed necessary by the teacher. * Support implementation of the behavior modification system and provide crisis prevention techniques within the classroom. Provide supervision whenever necessary. * Fully perform restraints as necessary when ordered by a licensed professional using the current approved KidsPeace restraint methodology on youth who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds and who are verbally or physically threatening or otherwise presenting a threat to themselves or others. Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences) * High School Diploma Required. * Pursuant of an Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Valid driver's license required. * Ability to obtain SCM certification and CPR/First Aid certification during New Associate Orientation.
