Children's Choice Learning Center is looking for a Toddler Teacher to join our growing staff, offering the utmost supportive culture and team, unlike other centers have to offer! At Children's Choice, we are a collaborative team, working together for one common goal. We believe education and learning should be engaging, supportive, and lively. We are looking for teachers who understand early childhood education, and the works of learning and want to ensure all teachers have a positive attitude and nurturing side to their environments.
We are currently hiring at our Pearland location.
Responsibilities and Expectations (include, but are not limited to)

Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Communicate with families, including completing daily activity reports. Maintain a tidy and organized classroom. Attend professional development. Develop and post-lesson plans Adapt the program to meet the individual needs of each child Develop an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom Potty train children Provide a variety of developmentally appropriate materials Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning Create a multi-cultural learning environment Cross training in all programs, Infant through Pre-K
Qualifications


Must have prior childcare experience (working for a licensed childcare center) Passion for Teaching & Love for Children Dependability and Reliability High School Diploma, Associates Flexible schedule between 7 am and 6 pm, daily Must Pass Background Check CPR/First Aid Certification Required
License/Certification:


First Aid Certification (Preferred) CPR Certification (Preferred)

Schedule:


Temporary with the potential to become permanent. Flexible between the hours of 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Our school is TRS certified, we can assist with obtaining your CDA, ask us how!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in planning, teaching and implementing the curriculum for all children from infants through preschool children
- Providing love and quality care for the children throughout the day in order to meet their emotional and physical needs
- Planning and executing indoor and outdoor experiences appropriate to the developmental levels of the children
- Interacting with children both physically and verbally throughout the day
- Assisting children with their personal hygiene, change diapers, assist with potty training when necessary
- Serve and eat meals with the children
- Meet with parents, staff, and administration
- Attend in-service and staff development training programs
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and KRK policies
Qualifications:
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
Passionate about working with children
Ability to build rapport with children
Positive and patient demeanor
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
High School Diploma/Equivalent
CPR/First Aid (can be fulfilled upon hire)

Toddler Teacher 1: Full Time; 35 hours a week for 52 weeks

Position Purpose:

This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand the child's ability to learn and grow, daily supervision, evaluation of, and supporting children’s developmental needs. Works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children. Positions may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers for program operations.

Salary: The hourly wage ranges from $ 15.98 to $19.79.

Applicants must at a minimum, have a High School Diploma/GED and working to obtain a CDA with waiver or affidafit.

Preference given to those who hold an Infant/Toddler CDA or PDIS Level 2 or a degree from an accredited college in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
