    Facilities Associate l We are looking for a Facilities Associate to join our team and help maintain our 186,000 square foot facility. The Facilities Associate will learn and perform a variety of building maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment. What You'll Do: Perform routine maintenance duties including but not limited to plumbing work, light carpentry, light painting, dry wall, masking & taping, pulling wire, installing conduit and receptacle boxes for new projects and renovations. Moving furnishings/equipment and general building maintenance. Schedule work priorities with supervisor daily. Perform preventative maintenance and repair work as needed. Ability to respond to emergency situations, make immediate repairs as appropriate. Observe and implement appropriate safety practices while performing all duties. Learn and follow all applicable laws, codes and standards, safety and environmental regulations and company policies, procedures, and protocols Learn to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, manual and electric pallet jacks. Conduct work in a professional and mature manner. Securely, carefully, and appropriately maintain tools, equipment, furnishings, and company property. Performs other maintenance duties as required. Project Driven Environment What You'll Need: 1 year of experience in facility maintenance work, preferably in commercial or manufacturing environments. Comfortable working within scheduled timelines. (Time Management). Willing and able to follow all safety rules, PPE requirements and our metal-free policy. Occasionally work in outdoor environments in a variety of weather conditions. Able to work independently. Speak, read and understand English, bilingual Spanish a plus. Licenses and Requirements: Potential for pre-employment general skills screening. Since this position will require the use of a company vehicle while conducting business, a valid New Mexico Class D Driver's License and an acceptable driving record are required. Ability to complete the following training as required: forklift operation certification; lock out tag out, fall arrest, SDS, ladder safety, emergency evacuation, and possible other training not listed. Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lift equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout shift with weights occasionally reaching up to 75 pounds (require team assist). Must be able to safely use manual tools, power equipment, and various measuring devices common in maintenance and construction trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and strictly adhere to company safety policies when exposed to electrical and other environmental hazards. Able to stand and walk throughout 8-hour shift. Able to reach, pull and lift throughout 8-hour shift. Able to regularly climb ladders and walk up and down staircases. Schedule/Environment: General hours are between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. This position requires flexibility with occasional Saturday/Sunday work and working hours outside of the general scheduled shifts.
