The Skills and Experience You Bring
10+ years of experience in media sales within the technology and B2B categories.
Extensive client and agency relationships within the technology sector.

Strong presentation and communication skills with a track record of building and sustaining client and agency partnerships.

The salary range for this position is:
$125,650 - $233,350 Annual
The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. Exciting new developments include: SAVE, RESTORE, REOPEN
When we began this project, our ‘slogan' was “Help Save the Plaza Theatre” but now that the restoration is in progress, we're focusing on the finish line, and are now saying “Help REOPEN the Plaza Theatre.” The restoration project is well underway. Woodcliff Construction of Los Angeles has been working on comprehensive renovation of the historic building since March, 2024. The restoration work will take approximately one year to complete, allowing the Plaza Theatre to open in late 2025.
The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre will once again become a major economic driver for the city, generating millions in economic activity by bringing hundreds of visitors and locals per week to the downtown to see quality entertainment. The Foundation has partnered with Oak View Group to bring diverse high-quality programming. When restored, the Plaza Theatre will be the only place available for the entire community to come together and utilize it as an affordable community venue showcasing diverse programming for all people, local youth organizations, promoting multicultural programming in film, music, live theater, education, comedy, and entertainment for all.
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor digital and/or film projection equipment for screenings, performances, and special events.
Manage sound and lighting cues related to film or multimedia presentations.
Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of projection and AV equipment.
Collaborate with stage management, technical staff, and event coordinators to ensure smooth show operations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and equipment-handling guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service to visiting filmmakers, production crews, and special guests.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a projectionist (digital and/or film) strongly preferred.

Report malfunctions of teller computers and other equipment used at the teller stations.

YOLA provides over 1,500 students annually with access to instruments, high-quality music instruction, and holistic support, helping young people thrive artistically, socially, and academically at no cost.
YOLA provides transformational and equitable access to music education for young people from underserved communities, to support their personal development, their communities, and beyond. The work of YOLA is focused on two areas:
Local programs which directly serve communities across Los Angeles
National programs which provide opportunities for young musicians, teaching artists, program administrators, and other stakeholders to learn from and create community with one another.
Position Summary:
The Violin Teaching Artist is a core member of YOLA's strings faculty, delivering exceptional, culturally responsive music instruction that aligns with YOLA's mission for transformative and equitable music education. This role focuses on teaching private lessons, sectionals, and large ensemble rehearsals while contributing to a vibrant, inclusive musical community.
The Violin Teaching Artist combines high-level artistic excellence with strong pedagogical skills, teaching multiple skill levels through a culturally responsive lens. Instruction is provided primarily after school (3:00-7:00pm) during the academic year, with some weekend commitments.

Position Elements:
Instruct students in group classes, sectionals, ensemble coaching, and private lessons with emphasis on tone development, technique, and musical expression specific to the violin.
Deliver sequential, culturally responsive instruction in alignment with YOLA's curriculum, benchmarks, and values.
Coach students toward measurable growth through juries, ensemble preparation, and technical fluency.
Assist in full orchestra rehearsals by playing, modeling, and coaching within the violin section while maintaining appropriate professional conduct.
Collaborate regularly with YOLA faculty, conductors, and curriculum leads on lesson planning, repertoire, and rehearsal strategy.
Create inclusive and respectful classroom environments that foster trust, leadership, and artistic identity.
Promote student agency, community connection, and life skills through value-based teaching and mentorship.
Maintain proactive communication with families, site staff, academic tutors, and LA Phil leadership to support holistic student development.
Prepare students for external opportunities such as auditions, honor ensembles, scholarship programs, and summer music festivals.
Identify and address barriers to learning, including equitable access to resources and instruments.
Actively participate in professional development, peer feedback sessions, and pedagogical training

Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in music performance, music education, or equivalent professional experience (violin emphasis strongly preferred)
Deep understanding of violin pedagogy
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching violin in private or group settings
Experience working with students from diverse racial, cultural, economic, and linguistic backgrounds.
Commitment to continuous improvement and student-centered teaching
Strong classroom and behavior management skills with adaptability to various learning needs
Excellent collaboration, time management, communication, and organizational skills

About the Venue
Our goal is to prepare this one-of-a-kind community facility for its “Next Act” by replacing or restoring most systems, installing new seats, sound, and lighting, adapting the structure to meet current ADA requirements, and providing the theatre with modern facilities needed to provide Palm Springs and the Valley with a venue accessible and affordable for everyone. Exciting new developments include: SAVE, RESTORE, REOPEN
When we began this project, our ‘slogan' was “Help Save the Plaza Theatre” but now that the restoration is in progress, we're focusing on the finish line, and are now saying “Help REOPEN the Plaza Theatre.” The restoration project is well underway. Woodcliff Construction of Los Angeles has been working on comprehensive renovation of the historic building since March, 2024. The restoration work will take approximately one year to complete, allowing the Plaza Theatre to open in late 2025.
The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre will once again become a major economic driver for the City, generating millions in economic activity by bringing hundreds of visitors and locals per week to the downtown to see quality entertainment. The Foundation has partnered with Oak View Group to bring diverse high-quality programming. When restored, the Plaza Theatre will be the only place available for the entire community to come together and utilize it as an affordable community venue showcasing diverse programming for all people, local youth organizations, promoting multicultural programming in film, music, live theater, education, comedy, and entertainment for all.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
Oversees and implements the theatre's production elements
Supervises and assists with set and stage construction and management
Reads and interpret blueprints, drawings and plots, supplementing design work as needed
Designs, sets up, maintains and operates sound, lighting, stage and other technical equipment and systems
Ensures smooth operation of the technical aspects of all productions
Oversees board operation during performances
Makes recommendations to the Technical Director regarding capital purchases of technical equipment
Monitors the condition of equipment including lighting, sound, and rigging equipment; work with Technical Director to make service recommendations
Maintains current knowledge of all equipment and supervises training on all equipment
Help recruit, manage and retain stagehands and show personnel
Develops, implements and monitors policies to ensure a safe work environment in the backstage and stage areas
Attends required production meetings
Serves as Acting Technical Director when the Technical Director is not onsite.
Oversees management of all load-in/load-out for events
Assist with an annual technical inventory of all equipment with recommendations for replacement or refurbishment
Stays abreast of new technology and software related to lighting and audio engineering
Additional duties as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre, Production, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in technical theatre or live event production.
Proficiency in lighting, sound, and/or video systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
