• Set up, operate, adjust machine tools in performing moderately complex assignments requiring a high degree of accuracy and precision on products having interrelated dimensions.

Style Crest, Inc. is a 50-year-old distributor and manufacturer of innovative building products for the residential and manufactured housing markets. We have an excellent career opportunity available for a Tool & Die Machinist to join our operation. This position will maintains the tooling for the Vinyl department by performing the following duties.
Sets tooling into production equipment insuring proper setup and operation.
Evaluates vinyl tooling in need of repair and coordinates with outside vendors for repairs as needed.
Receives repaired tooling when returned and ensures it was properly fixed. Tracks tooling repairs to evaluate turn around time and cost.
Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
Sets up and operates lathes, mills, and grinders to machine parts.
Fabricate assemblies for production machinery from various materials to include sheet metal, structural steel, and bar stocks.
Examine standard or previously used dies, tool, jigs, fixtures and, machinery components and recommends design changes.
General maintenance to include plumbing, machine repair, general diagnostics, pneumatics, hydraulics, rigging, and facilities maintenance.
Performs good housekeeping skills to maintain a clean and safe working area.
Performs activities in accordance with the procedures outlined in the work instructions.

Requirements

Associates degree from a college or technical school / Journeymen's card in machine related technologies; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
