Purpose
Ability to machine, mill, and grind various types of metals. Primarily 1st shift schedule, could include 2nd, 3rd, split shifts, weekends, holidays, 12 hour shifts. Daily work activity is directed by the Group Leader and a Maintenance Machinist A. Reports directly to the department Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Performs all tasks under general supervision.
Provides training and assistance to less experienced Machinists.
Assumes ownership of work task and demonstrates initiative to get work completed.
Creates and reworks machinery and equipment components according to requisition documentation, blueprints, or other drawings.
Sets up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature.
Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, grinding, and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials.
Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
Performs reworking and machining of new and spare production parts for departments.
Repairs maintenance parts as needed.
Verifies the accuracy of work by using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and various measuring instruments.
Order and maintain project related material as required.
Assist with keeping neat and orderly records on work performed and repairs made.
Work with Engineering, Production Team Leads, Managers, Group Leaders, and fellow tradesmen to accomplish the desired result.
Adjust schedule and work hours to accomplish the desired result, must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
Perform work assignments efficiently while being consistent with good safety practices.
Report any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor.
Review, understand, and follow all Company specifications and procedures, and regulatory rules and requirements that are associated with the performance of this job.

Basic Requirements
Must pass the skilled trade assessment test for this position.
Must have a basic knowledge and experience reading mechanical drawings.
Must have a basic knowledge and experience in proper machining and grinding techniques (Feed rates, sequencing, cutting speeds).
Must have a basic knowledge and experience in setting up machine tools to produce precision parts.
Must have a basic knowledge and experience in writing and modifying machine programs.
Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine speeds and feed rates.
Ability to use various measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)

Job Responsibilities
This is a hands-on, mechanically-inclined role for someone who enjoys working on equipment and machinery in a clean, well-organized environment.As a Machinist / Mechanical Assembler, you will:
Assemble small to medium components of vibration testing systems
Align, position, and fit components using hand and power tools (pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.)
Perform basic wiring of cables and connectors
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Adjust parts for proper fit and functionality
Perform basic machining: operate drill presses, mills, and lathes
Work to tight tolerances, selecting correct feeds and speeds
Safely operate tow motors, lift trucks, and pallet jacks for moving materials
Lift up to 60 lbs when needed
This role combines mechanical assembly, light machining, and equipment operation-ideal for those with a passion for hands-on mechanical work.
Required Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude-especially from backgrounds like automotive, HVAC, or industrial assembly
Ability to read and work from technical schematics
Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
Strong attendance and ability to eventually work independently
Solid work history and reliability
Must be fluent in English
Able to follow safety and shop procedures
Steel toe boots required

Manual Machinist
with excellent communication skills to work in our Huber Heights, Ohio facility. This position is on 2nd shift.
Shift hours are as follows;
2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:40pm to 11:10pm
Qualifications
Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the following areas;
Set up and fabricate complex precision parts to specifications using manual machine tools such as Bridgeport, Lathe, Surface grinders, drill press, boring bars, etc
Ability to set-up and run their own job.
Monitor the machining process, measure parts during fabrication operations and adjust settings and operations to ensure product conformance to all applicable specifications.
Proficient with the use of measurement instruments: micrometers, dial indicators, calipers etc.
Experience and ability to understand and interpret specifications, diagrams and plans
Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-sufficient with a “make it happen” attitude & approach.
Understanding of G-Code programming a plus.
Experience in part inspection, First Piece inspection.
Experience with Anilam, Prototrak or similar controls
Ability to perform programming using Conversational Prototrak Controls
Job shop environment a plus.

Summary:Company seeking a skilled and precise machinist to set up and operate Manual Horizontal Boring Mills, VTL's, and/or lathes. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with minimal supervision. Candidate must also understand how to read mechanical blueprints, perform calculations, and make cuts with precision to meet quality standards. Experience or previous training required with the intent of increasing skills during employment.
