PURPOSE: Design, build, rework, maintain, repair and troubleshoot all forms of tooling (including dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and molds).
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Determine the best method to manage and complete a project by a designated due date.
• Interact with QA, production, R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance to provide solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tool modifications, repair, preventative maintenance and individual work performed throughout the shift.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Completed an approved Mold Maker or Tool and Die Maker state apprenticeship program or demonstrated the ability to perform the aforementioned tasks.

• Work as a team lead as well as a team member depending on the departmental workload.

Maintain thermoplastic molds to ensure consistent quality, output and yield
Complete daily mold change sheets and other required paperwork
Complete/participate in any and all PPS activities as directed by Supervisors
Communicate effectively with production team member, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure quality installation of molds
Troubleshoot issues with the molds
Perform preventive maintenance on injection mold tooling and prior to mold changes
Trouble shoot any problems involved with mold changes
Remove and install Hot Runner Service
Support Engineers with tool design reviews on new builds
Ability to determine feasabilities of engineering changes during design review
Must have own tools

Job Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of this position are to break down molds, prepare for repair. Conduct the necessary repair and rebuild molds. Once molds are placed back together, administer necessary tests to assure they are production ready.
Qualifications

PURPOSE: Design, build, rework, maintain, repair and troubleshoot all forms of tooling (including dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and molds).

* Proficiently operate all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
* Work as a team lead as well as a team member depending on the departmental workload.
