Overview:

Responsible for staff management, instrument procurement and processing for hospital/clinics. Performs primary functions of assessing, planning, directing workload within the department. Assists with budgeting for instrument replacements and repairs. Implements and maintains quality and integrity within the department by establishing quality monitors. Evaluates new instrumentation. Enforces vendor policies. Implements and maintains electronic instrument tracking system. Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prefer previous supervisory experience.
  • Required Education: Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certifications: Must have certification as an Instrument Technician CRCST, (or obtain within 18 months of hire).

  • Receive cash from each department, reconcile, and complete necessary reports.

Position Description

Modine Manufacturing Company in Racine, Wisconsin is hiring for a Tool Room Supervisor to support our state-of-the-art 23,000 square foot Tool Room at our corporate headquarters!

What Will You Do?

You will manage Racine Tool Room resources to implement practices essential to meeting our goals, consistent with corporate goals. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage a staff consisting of both hourly and salaried employees.
* Oversee operations of a 23,000 square feet Tool Room facility and provide leadership to its staff
* Manage a department expense budget
* Responsible for Fin roll Inventory
* Responsible for the Production and delivery of sets of fin rolls for Modine's different manufacturing facilities
* Manage the manufacturing of all prototype and fin sample request for the corporate facility.
* Manage a multiple shift operation
* Responsible for technical machining support for all prototype and sample making activities in the corporate facility
* Responsible for the purchasing of productive and non-productive supplies and important machine replacement parts necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the shop
* Hire, trains and develop and discipline the tool room employees
* Ensure the Tool Room facility meets all local, state and federal regulatory guidelines about health, safety and environmental issues
* Introduce and implement manufacturing process improvements in all machining areas of the tool room
* Communicate all corporate policies and regulations to Tool Room Employees
* Responsible for performance and wage reviews for salaried and non-union hourly employees

QUALIFICATIONS

* A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required
* At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
* Organizational skills needed to supervise and maintain employee records and manage multiple projects
* Basic computer skills in operation of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
