Developmental position designed to produce Test Technicians that can operate independently at higher levels within the organization. It is expected that this would be a one-year assignment intended to supply the knowledge necessary to move to the next level. Perform routine Quality Testing of Gas Producers, Power Turbines, and Reduction Gearboxes to ensure conformance to Solar and/or customer specifications. Promote and demonstrate support of all safety and lean initiatives.
This is a 2nd shift position
Principal Accountabilities:
* Assist with the installation and removal of gas turbines and accessories.
* Assist with green run and final performance acceptance test of gas turbines.
* Observe, record, and review test data.
* May support more senior Technicians in the resolution of skid or package issues.
* Assist in setup and use of all computerized data acquisition systems.
* Attend all available training programs as directed by management.
* Contacts are typically with Test Technicians, other Metrology Technicians, and Test/Product Engineers.
* Works under the general direction of the Test Manager, Test Coordinator or Test Engineer.
* Work is usually reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
* Constantly engaged with more Senior Technicians in a learning and development environment.
* Will follow previously created practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Requires good mechanical skills and the ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection and test equipment (micrometers, multimeters, and dial indicators).
* Knowledgeable in the use and application of simple electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
* Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or shop environment.
Summary Pay Range:
$45,809.00 - $68,713.00
