Position Summary
Housekeeping staff are part of the WNOC team, and are responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities, creating a safe and comfortable experience for all of our visitors. Working closely with our Housekeeping Supervisor and Campground Manager, housekeeping staff work campus-wide on a variety of tasks, from daily shower and bathroom cleaning to clearing campsite fi re rings and turning over our cabins and Comfort Camping sites. Housekeeping staff interact with campground guests throughout the day, and they are friendly and informative ambassadors for the entire organization.
Responsibilities:
Provide a friendly and welcoming environment to all visitors across the campus
Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties property-wide including bathrooms, shower buildings, trash and waste disposal, shared public spaces, cabins, A-frames, and Comfort Camping sites

Primary responsibilities include:

Minimum qualifications:
As required by the federal grant, the successful candidate will be a qualified service-connected disabled veteran, a qualified eligible veteran, or other qualified eligible persons as defined by Title 38, USC, Section 4101(5). The successful candidate will attend live, instructor-led virtual training provided by the National Veterans' Training Institute (NVTI) and paid for by the US Department of Labor. The training must be completed within 18 months of hire and will be considered work time for compensation purposes. Transportation for regional travel will be required regularly. Either a state vehicle or reimbursement for use of your personal vehicle will be provided. Statewide travel will be occasionally required.

Day to day responsibilities:
Administrative: All Enterprise Education Assistant/Associate Deans have a suite of administrative tasks that are divided by the Dean based on expertise. These tasks may include:
* Work closely with EE-dedicated Enterprise HR staff to hire qualified adjunct instructors and subject matter experts (SMEs).
* Evaluate and identify qualified applicants for adjunct teaching positions and SME opportunities
* Monitor the HRIS database to ensure that adjunct instructors' credentials are updated.
* Monitor the DE faculty web pages to ensure that information about adjunct instructors is up-to-date.
* Work with the Vice President of Student Outcomes (and her/his designees) to develop a schedule that meets students' needs.
* Investigate student concerns about instructional experiences as needed. Communicate resolution of student concerns with the Advising team and/or of VP Student Outcomes according to established processes.
* Conduct and summarize research related to andragogical practices that support student learning in contexts relevant to EE baccalaureate programming.
* Develop research-based tools and learning opportunities to support growth and improvement of EE instructors.
* Work with individuals or groups of instructors to improve practice as needed.
* Gather and analyze data related to instructional quality. Prepare summary reports and advise the Dean of Baccalaureate Programs regarding actions needed to address shortcomings and/or improve instructional performance.

Guided by Preble Street's mission to provide low-barrier services to people experiencing homelessness, the work of the VHS team toward ending veteran homelessness is informed by Housing First, harm-reduction, and trauma-informed service approaches.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the position include a combination of work experience, education, and/or training likely to provide the skills and ability to perform the work of the Caseworker role. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required; candidates with a comparable combination of education and experience are encouraged to apply.
Additional qualifications include an understanding of and alignment with Preble Street's mission, positive regard for individuals accessing services for homelessness and poverty, commitment to providing low-barrier, high-quality services to people experiencing homelessness, strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
