About the Position
We're seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our Riverside office as an IOP Behavioral Medicine Specialist. You will work on a beautiful campus, with a robust clinical team, specializing in workers' compensation cases. We provide high-quality intensive outpatient care to patients who have been injured at work and require comprehensive behavioral medicine intervention.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate intensive outpatient group therapy sessions focused on behavioral medicine interventions
Provide individual therapy for anxiety, PTSD, depression, chronic pain, sleep problems, brain injury and work-related stress. Evidenced based training is available for the right candidates, if not already trained.
Conduct comprehensive clinical treatment planning
Implement evidence-based behavioral medicine protocols for pain management, stress reduction, and functional restoration
Collaborate with our transdisciplinary team to deliver integrated care
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
Contribute to our mission of achieving exceptional patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

Position Details
The PMHNP provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health urgent care services to individuals. Working under the supervision of the psychiatrist, the CRNP will conduct evaluations, provide clinical interventions, and work within the multidisciplinary BHUCC team to deliver coordinated, quality care. Duties include:
Psychiatric Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments to determine the patient's immediate needs.

Medication Management and Prescription:

Urgent Care Intervention and Stabilization:
Provide behavioral health urgent intervention services, offering immediate support and compassionate care to patients in distress.
Collaborate with the clinical team to create behavioral health urgent care stabilization plans for individuals experiencing urgent needs.
Care Coordination:
Coordinate care and treatment modalities with team and external providers.
Supervision of LPN Nurse:
Provide leadership and supervision to an LPN nurse, ensuring efficient clinical operations and adherence to protocols.
Oversee the LPN's work, offer guidance, and promote a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Patient Education and Support:
Educate patients and their families about behavioral health conditions, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
Offer empathetic support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes using the BHUCC's electronic health records system.
Ensure compliance with documentation standards and legal regulations.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a closely-related field from an accredited college or university.
Two (2) years of experience working with the dually diagnosed and/or substance use disorder population.
A valid license in good standing issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (MFT), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC).

The Mental Health Counselor for Student Belonging participates in the full range of generalist mental health counseling service delivery, with a specific focus on ensuring all students experience a sense of belonging within the McDaniel community. Operating from the understanding that a sense of belonging is a critical component of well-being, this Mental Health Counselor collaborates closely with the Office of Student Belonging and other campus partners to provide an integrated approach to supporting the holistic well-being of a diverse community of students. In addition to clinical services, the Mental Health Counselor for Student Belonging will engage in meaningful outreach activities with campus partners and student groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provides intake assessments and effective treatment planning.
* Provides individual and group counseling to students presenting with a variety of personal, social, academic, and mental health concerns.
* Provides case management and appropriate referrals to off-campus providers as needed.
* Provides crisis assessment, intervention, and consultation as needed during working hours and on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
* Seeks immediate consultation with the Assistant Dean in situations where there is imminent concern for a student's safety or the safety of others.
* Provides professional consultation to faculty, staff, college administrators, and family members of students as needed.
* Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with local hospitals, substance abuse and mental health agencies, and mental health professionals.

* Serves as clinical supervisor for Counseling Services staff whose practice is required to be supervised and conducted under the supervisor's license when applicable based on discipline and licensure. This includes regular supervision meetings and signing off on clinical documentation.
* Contributes to the Clinical Training Program through task supervision, training, consultation, and clinical supervision of trainees (when appropriate requirements of discipline and licensure are met).
