Provides direct patient care to support the licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients to ensure a safe environment for patients by reducing risk of harm. Collects vital information on the patient and reports such to the RN which contributes to the overall assessment of each patient and any changes to a patient's condition.
Job Responsibilities
Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Administers or assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), performs vital signs (VS), intake and output (I&O), fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, foley care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.
Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse. Assists nurse with patient and family education. Documents all patient care activities provided.
Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development and lifelong learning, as well as acting as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Is enrolled in a professional or practical nursing education program and has or will complete within ninety (90) days a fundamentals of nursing course; or
Was a professional nursing or practical nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations in the past three (3) years; or
Is certified as a nursing assistant; or
Has documentation of current registration as a certified nursing assistant in another state that meets the requirements listed in 42 CFR 483.151 and 483.152; or
Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, emergencymedicaltechnician, or surgical technician in the past three (3) years; or
Has proof of completion of a patient care technician training program which meets the curriculum requirements of this rule or UAP training program in Missouri or another state which meets the requirements of this rule within the last three (3) years;
Has completed a professional or licensed practical nursing program outside the United States and is awaiting the licensure examination in this country; or
Has proof of certification as a patient care technician.

• CPR-C will work with numerous agencies and will need to meet any regulatory requirements of external partners, including vaccinations and background checks as required.
• Perform various other duties and functions as required or assigned within area of expertise or scope of the position.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Social services or criminal justice related field.
• Working knowledge of the St. Louis Area Mental Health Network, the Crisis Intervention Model, and the DSM-V.
• Minimum of six months to two years' experience in mental health field within the private or public sector.
• Committed to ongoing professional and educational development. Participates in individual and group supervision, BHR trainings, seminars, functions, and events.
• Must work well individually and with co-workers as part of a team. Must be flexible with work hours and special requests from leadership.
• Ability to write clinical documentation, conduct mental health assessments and develop client treatment plans.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong service coordination and team building skills.
• Must own a properly insured, reliable vehicle.

Military EMT Academy Abbot Ambulance is offering a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. This opportunity is for military personnel who are within their last 180 days of service, to be used as a CSP or SkillBridge.
What is an EmergencyMedicalTechnician (EMT)?
The primary focus of an EMT is to provide basic emergencymedical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergencymedical system. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation, and functions as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight. An EMT performs interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance and is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.
About the Program:
The EMT Academy is a rigorous 8-12-week program offered throughout the year which qualifies the employee to take the NREMT exam. Upon successful completion of the class, all tests and state certification, the employee will be supported in their application for an EMT position at AMR.
The right candidates must:
* Be at least 18 years old
* Have proof of a HS diploma or GED
* Valid Driver's License
* Have all required immunizations
* Successfully complete the pre-employment screening which includes motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing and a physical agility test
* Be and Active-Duty Service Member within 180 days of EAS with command approval.
What happens after passing the course?
After successful completion of the course, the employee will be eligible to take a written and skills test offered by the Department of Health
Upon receipt of the state EMT-B certification, employees will eligible to apply for a position with GMR.
