Qualifications
A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. Provide care and close supervision of patients. Document patient behaviors provide crisis intervention as necessary and implement individualized treatment plans while following Billings Clinic policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions
Ensure that patients and their environment are safe. Complete patient and environmental safety observations on assigned unit. Attentive to possible issues on the unit due to escalating behaviors or environmental factors and report concerns to Charge nurse.
