Provide administrative support to the TouroCOM Middletown Research Incubator tenants
Prepare the semi-annual report to Touro University Environmental Health and Safety Department regarding chemicals in research laboratories
Maintain compliance files of research laboratories, including biosafety records and documents
Coordinate safety training of faculty investigators and students
Coordinate purchase of supplies, chemicals and equipment Assist investigators in obtaining quotes for supplies and services
Direct the update of maintenance contracts for all lab equipment
Assist with maintaining daily temperature records of space and refrigeration equipment
Conduct and record weekly tests of eye-washing stations
Support the annual Research Day activities.
Print research posters for all Touro University faculty and students Compile research documentation and protocols
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Research
Qualifications Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required.

Position Summary
The Administrative Coordinator, Communications provides operational support to the Chief Communications Officer and senior leadership team. The CUNY School of Professional Studies Health Information Management and Health Services Administration program seeks a candidate to serve as a full-time assistant or associate professor. The Health Information Management (HIM) department is a growing and student-centered unit offering both undergraduate and graduate degree programs that lead to high-demand roles in healthcare leadership, health informatics, and project management. Our curriculum blends technical training with professional skill development to prepare students for RHIA certification and career advancement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Teaching asynchronous courses in the discipline
* Conducting research and scholarship in the discipline and/or scholarship of teaching and learning
* Graduate student advising
* Curriculum oversight such as evaluating courses and serving as a subject matter expert in course development process
* Serving on committees and other governance bodies and serving in varied academic administrative capacities with the aim of ensuring that HIM programs, courses, and instruction are high quality and meet all institutional and accreditation competencies.
* Participating in program specific events and other functions such as RHIA review seminar facilitation or guest speaking, orientation(s), program and department faculty meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other programmatic activities as assigned by the supervisor.
NOTE:
* This is a tenure track position, starting in Fall 2026.
* Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Earned doctorate in area(s) of experience. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
The preferred candidate(s) will have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
* Earned doctorate in health informatics, health information management, healthcare administration or other related discipline
* Active RHIA credential

POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
The College of Performing Arts at The New School is seeking a highly qualified Seasonal Props Assistant to join its Performance Operations - Props Department staff. The Props Department is responsible for the creation, alteration, and sourcing of all props for all College of Performing Arts productions. The Seasonal Props Assistant is delegated as needed to oversee crews, provide support to outside designers, and answer time sensitive technical questions when the Props Supervisor is deployed on other projects.
This role is intentionally structured to support continuity, departmental leadership, and higher-level technical work throughout the academic year. The Assistant Props Supervisor will routinely be entrusted with independent oversight of projects, advanced fabrication assignments, and decision-making authority that maintains workflow and production quality.
The Seasonal Props Assistant is a qualified and organized collaborator who can lead independent projects, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly team-oriented environment. The Seasonal Props Assistant reports to the Props Supervisor.
This is an FLSA nonexempt hourly (30 hours per week) seasonal position with a desired start date of mid-January 2026, and an end date of May 22nd, 2026.

CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Act as lead artisan on show builds, alterations, and execute advanced fabrication tasks independently
* Collaborate closely with set designers to fulfill the production's needs
* Read all rehearsal reports, and keep up-to-date on all prop related communication
* Oversee and mentor Overhire Props Artisans, supervising assigned crew calls, and providing daily task delegation, quality control feedback, and hands-on training in advanced prop construction techniques
* Develop familiarity with show scripts, prop lists, and project specific paperwork
* Act as an alternate Props representative for production meetings, and as the designated Production representative during tech rehearsals
* Collaborate with the Props Supervisor in developing long-term departmental strategies, including storage organization, inventory maintenance, and resource planning to support future seasons
* Travel to vendors or storage locations to procure and cart supplies and materials as needed
* Additional responsibilities as assigned
WORK MODE
This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement.
Hybrid work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the role and operational needs. Any such arrangement must be discussed and approved in advance by the appropriate division lead or their designee.
SALARY RANGE
$30.00/hour

POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
The College of Performing Arts at The New School is seeking a highly qualified Temporary APEX Props Assistant to assist the Props Department for the duration of the School of Drama's APEX Festival. The APEX Festival features graduating students' self-written and directed theatrical productions as capstone projects for the Master of Fine Arts in Contemporary Theatre and Performance degree program.
The Temporary APEX Props Assistant will work closely with the Props Supervisor on builds, alterations, sourcing, and may be delegated to oversee inventory, crew shifts, and provide direct production support as needed. The Temporary APEX Props Assistant acts as the primary point of continuity across all APEX productions, coordinating multi-show prop workflows, and managing cross-departmental communication to ensure consistency of design interpretation, safety standards, and festival-wide prop integration.
The ideal candidate is an organized, collaborative professional who can take initiative, manage independent projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment. The Temporary APEX Props Assistant reports to the Props Supervisor.

* Attend all APEX production meetings
* Act as the designated Production representative during tech rehearsals
* Oversee APEX Festival-specific logistics including rapid-turnover prop changes between productions, maintaining shared prop spaces, and managing festival-wide prop storage and repurposing strategies
* Travel to vendors or storage locations to procure and cart supplies and materials as needed
* Assist departmental leadership with tracking project-related spending, supporting the expense reconciliation process as needed
