Principal Faculty Member
Faculty assistant job at Touro College
Full-Time Faculty, under the supervision of the Program Director and Academic/ Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for the management and evaluation of the program's academic and clinical components. The Faculty member will work 36+ hours per week. This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Accreditation:
Assists the Academic/ Clinical Coordinator with the following:
Maintain accreditation by coordinating the efforts of the PA Program to meet and/or exceed the ARC-PA Standards.
Teaching:
Instruct first year and second year students in the following:
Physical Diagnosis Lab Instructor
Clinical Correlations Instructor
Procedures Instructor
Lecturing in area of expertise
Advising first year and second year students
Reviewing and grading master's projects
Curriculum:
Review academic/clinical curricular content for appropriateness to PA practice
Monitor evaluation of learning outcomes
Create and review academic and clinical exams
Committee Service:
Will participate on appropriate committees (as schedule allows) as requested by the Program Director.
Participates in reaccreditation and program evaluation activities as deemed appropriate by the Program Director.
Responsibilities for general aspects of the PA Program and the School of Health Sciences
Participating in the admissions process including application review, interview and serving on the admissions committee.
Participation in the developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program.
Participation in scholarly activities is encouraged (involvement in professional organizations, research, etc.)
Participating in remedial instruction
Participating in the preparation of accreditation documents and participating in the self-study process.
Serving on school-wide committee is encouraged
Participating in the recruitment effort
Qualifications Education/Experience
A master's degree or higher with experience in academia preferred
Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant and NCCPA Board Certified
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity
Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and oral
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

Collaborate with Instructional Design to develop course materials through a consultative process. This includes partnering on course development (aligning objectives, materials, and assessments), creating dynamic instructional media (videos, infographics, and interactive resources), maintaining established courses with updates and troubleshooting, and receiving just-in-time assistance for targeted needs.
Serving as an adjunct Lecturer provides an outstanding opportunity to educate and mentor students in the field of technology management as well as to form a rewarding professional relationship with Columbia University's world-class faculty.

explores the integration of technology into modern project management, equipping students with the skills to navigate digital transformation and technology adoption in complex project environments. Students will gain hands-on experience with project management information systems (PMIS) and enterprise platforms such as MS Project, Asana, Trello, SAP, and Oracle Primavera, while also learning to leverage AI, automation, and data analytics tools like Power BI to enhance decision-making and performance monitoring. Responsibilities

If assigned to design the course, responsibilities also include:
Develop course objectives that align with program-wide learning outcomes
Create activity maps tying course activities to objectives, ensuring industry relevance
Draft a detailed syllabus (course description, schedule, grading rubric, and assessments) for review and approval by the Program Curriculum Committee and the Committee on Instruction (COI).
Collaborate with Instructional Design to develop course materials through a consultative process. This includes partnering on course development (aligning objectives, materials, and assessments), creating dynamic instructional media (videos, infographics, and interactive resources), maintaining established courses with updates and troubleshooting, and receiving just-in-time assistance for targeted needs.
Serving as an adjunct Lecturer provides an outstanding opportunity to educate and mentor students in the field of project management as well as to form a rewarding professional relationship with Columbia University's world-class faculty.
Qualifications

as a part-time Lecturer to teach a graduate-level course in AI User Interfaces for
Analytics. The course delivers a comprehensive understanding of the principles of UX
design, as well as techniques and best practices for developing user interfaces (UIs).
Students will learn how to create intuitive, interactive, and visually engaging websites and
dashboards surfacing AI-generated insights. The curriculum covers the entire process
from design and implementation to the evaluation of UIs. Students gain hands-on
experience with web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and
related cloud services. Additionally, the course integrates apply state-of-the-art AI

Columbia University School of Professional Studies invites applications for the role of Adjunct Lecturer to teach Applied Writing in the Narrative Medicine Context and Beyond, a core course in the school's M.S. in Narrative Medicine program.
The program prepares health professionals, writers, and scholars to apply the skills and values of narrative understanding to improve outcomes for both patients and caregivers, and to investigate issues pertinent to health and healthcare in a rigorous transdisciplinary setting. This course introduces students to the practice and purpose of writing, with a focus on how writing shapes thought, emotion, and behavior. The Clinical Instructor works under a course coordinator in the undergraduate BS degree nursing program in Brooklyn, NY. Instructor would be at a designated clinical site with 6-8 students with an emphasis on the care of a patient for a fifteen week semester. A clinical is on a designated day of the week for the entire semester, depending on the needs of the program and semester schedule. Clinical instructors must be available for all clinical assignment dates on the schedule. Instructors are hired for Fall and Spring semesters of the program. Clinicals can be held in hospitals and patient care facilities in any of the five boroughs, depending on approvals and needs of the program.

Complete facility orientation prior to the start of clinical
